After looking at the wood layed out the other night I was thinking that if thats in fact the "trail" they are talking about its very small. What I mean is the paths look very narrow and thinking back to the penguins and how long that line was I cant imagine this not having extremely long wait times. I think about how long people stop at look at the trees in the Disney Springs tree trail and wonder if busch will allow that or are they going to conga line push you through like a HOS house. I know they have also mentioned countries and make your own decorations so I honestly confused what we are getting.

I like the train but despise the orbs...they have absolutely zero to do with Christmas. It looks like someone got a good deal on them and just said screw it ill take them all and well figure out where to put them later. I do enjoy the first section of the train from Caribou to France, those lights would be awesome all the way around.

The orbs and the train in general are the bane of my existence. I wanna be lazy and ride from trappers to the exit.
This. I really dislike that they take the train as transport away. Especially when the sky ride isn’t guaranteed to be operating.

Got this in an email

Whoever is on the graphic design team... I just wanna talk. Y'all didn't even try to make it look like it's all one picture. It looks like magazine clippings.

And the torii is so confusing, but I suppose it's explained in the description. Spoiler: Japan's celebration of Christmas is much more... Romantic. It's more of a couple's holiday. So Japan is a really odd choice. Japan goes pretty hard for New Year's tho.

I hope they have cake.

I absolutely hate those orbs on the train.....and now Disney puts them on the Speedway!

so I am assuming, based on the wonderful descision of bgw to changing from passes to memberships, that platinum passes from other parks, even if current are excluded from Christmas town.

Last year I had a premier membership, this year I have FL platinum. It’s frustrating for me that I can’t buy a pass that suits my needs for all parks. There’s also that whole issue of “admission to 11 parks 365 days from purchase”.

I suppose I’ll buy a few tickets and try to see if they let me in with the pass first just for kicks.
The funny thing is, I’m pretty sure you still get free parking. ?‍♂️

I think before BGW switched to memberships there were no passes that got into CT. So even passes from other parks weren't allowed in. So BGW switchibg to memberships didn't effect anyone with passes from other parks. Even if BGW still called them passes it's likely that it would be a benefit only for passes with their home park as BGW. There are a fair number of benefits that you are only supposed to get at your home park.

Traditionally BGW has treated CT the same as BGT treats HOS. They require a separate ticket regardless off pass level. I would imagine it would be the same for CT as the passes specifically note that specially ticketed events are excluded. They specifically point out that HOS at BGT

Bgt allows free access to HOS for all platinum(and for me last year premier) members on the first weekend. Not a home park issue.

I hear ya on prior passes not getting admission. I just think that bgw is in a really convoluted place right now with its pass structure. It’s got about 15 different types of passes that an employee might see just from the local area.

My issue is where this issue arises from. People were paying stupid cheap for legacy passes and so they added perks and started edging out older passes so that people would switch to the new ones. Prior to this change there were home park extras, but these were not exclusive to the point of leaving member of other parks out in the cold. If you visit any park in the chain other than BGW with a platinum pass, you are treated like a pass member. When you visit BGW, their benefits lean towards treating you like you’re second rate cheapskates holding onto legacy passes. This is a problem exclusive to BGW, and in my opinion it needs to be fixed.

I’m sure not everyone will agree with me on this, but really, all I want is a pass that works, and right now, as someone who travels between Florida and Virginia, I can’t get that.

The best option is a CT fun Card and that puts the price at about $36 a month...and that still doesn’t allow you to get into preview days.

Sorry if I seem cranky, I just feel that the park is executing the new pass structure VERY poorly.

All the parks have perks that are only given to passholders at their home park. I have a Platinum membership and I don't get to do everything that passholders get at the Florida parks. For instance I have never gotten to use the ride again benefit at Tampa or Orlando despite enjoying it at BGW. I do however continue to get my same discount and free parking at whatever park I visit.

The purpose of the Platinum is to allow you to visit the other parks. It's not there to create a tier that gives you all the perks at every park

Off topic from the thread, but that's strange. I used the platinum ride again with my BGW pass at both BGT and SWO last month. Not sure why it worked for me and not you. ? Genuinely. I used it on Mako and Montu for sure.

I’ll have a longer reply, maybe in another thread but as others have mentioned ride again is generally honored at both parks. I used it repeatedly with SWSA and BGW platinum/premier even.

You always got free Christmas Town parking with the old BGW passes before memberships. It always frustrated me that I need one for parking, shopping and food only to have to switch to the other to enter the park.

Anyone else going next week for preview and if so anyone interested in a meet up? Also side note I been told from someone that works on the show that there is no T'was the first weekend and that the second week will feature a stand in for Elvis.
