Worst thing happened to me on my CTExpress ride. Mid way through in the Scotland train station we stopped (don't know if that's a normal occurrence) and the entire music list restarted. Not the most damaging thing ever, it just bugs me.

Was this Tuesday night? Same thing happened to us and it really brought down the experience since all the narrative was out of context.

Yeah I have had it happen to. It's because people are not cleaning the crossings. It's annoying but as tempting and well deserved as it might be itb.c.would be bad press and give the kids nightmares if they let Darwin hasve his way an the train ran over a bunch of people.

It sucks that we got all of this rain coming this weekend. I was planning to come on Sunday. That has now changed to Saturday the 29th. Is Christmastown any different after Christmas?

It's the same after Christmas. Except much shorter lines to see Santa. I guess kids are much more interested in asking Santa for presents than thanking him!

I remember going with family for an adult family group photo with Santa last Christmas Eve.....The poor Santa we got looked shell shocked :)

I am sure the Santa's are plenty happy with less people after.

Does Busch open CT earlier on Saturdays? I drove by earlier around 12:20 and they had half of the first parking lot filled. If anyone knows, can you let me know?

It's an opportunity to teach your kids about not procrastinating. "Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today" can apply to a kid's Christmas list too.

Alternatively it's also a way for kids to take up their complaints about missing gifts with Santa himself.

If you didn't get what you wanted this year, you can ask Santa for next year. ?

I noticed yesterday that their is only a 10% chance of rain today vs. 80% 2 days ago. I wish now that I was still going today.

I believe there are people who take their kids to thank Santa for their gifts. I think that is a lovely tradition.

My parents used to take me to do this, and tell Santa the one thing I didn't get that I really wanted. Never really got it. But it was a way to let your kid complain without it going on and on.

I guess its just me but Santa after christmas should be nowhere public until next season. My whole life growing up I always saw where he took a vacation afer Christmas. No where did you see him after the 25th. Im sure there is somewhere that has him out after the 26th but nowhere that I know of. Even Winterfest he is gone after Christmas and thats when Santa Snoopy takes his place. Keeping tradition plus adding a new meet and greet after the holidays.

Anyhow, last night we went back for the first tine since opening night this season to see if it got better.....well to me it hasnt. We wanted to go back to eat at the Smokhouse since we did Festhaus opening night. The Smokhouse used to have a Christmas Dinner but with ham and we wanted to get that. Well, its no longer on the menu, in fact there is basically just the normal smokhouse menu now. The seating there is also smaller, the park was dead but every table was filled and people walking around trying to find a table in a heated tent to eat. They need way more tables inside the tents. Tries to get Wassail.....but everywhere either didnt sell it and said go here they have it only to get there and those stands were closed. Rode the train, nothing new, still sucks IMO. The trains were empty yet they were still horribly slow loading. Our train went all the way around tgen gad to stop and wait behind the Black Forest area for the Red train to leave Carribou. Overll the event seemed half assed this year, we didnt go into Holiday Hills opening night but did last night, they didnt have as many trees decoratedand the ones they did looked pittyful. They also only put the colored C9 on them this year leaving off the clear twinkle lights, they really made them look great. There were also not very many blow molds on the rooftops of the buildings.
We usually go to CT 6-8 times before Christmas but this year once was enough, tried a second night but was honestly bored.

Visited on Monday night. Seemed pretty slow, had a great time. No wait for Rudolph. Under 5 minute wait for both coasters. Train was okay, a good start, they just need to build on it. Loading was slow. They also mentioned the train had to build up steam...not sure how accurate that was. Either way, wasn't great, but it certainly wasn't as bad as some are making it out to be. I think sometimes we take events like this for granted...
