How long are the waits for the train at Christmastown since it is round trip? The Caribou station is a bottleneck, so is that area super crowded this year?

It really depends on the day and time. For example: We went last Friday. The wait was less than 10 minutes, however we went during 'Twas That Night'. There was almost no one in line. They were all at the Royal Palace watching ice skating. Earlier it had been over a one hour wait. The queue stretched down to the log flume.

Yes, that area can be really congested, especially when a train is off-loading.

Some pictures of the images that were being projected on the Wilkommenhaus. On a side note the candy shop there was open.

Current BGW situation. Advertised 4:00 late opening do to weather. This apparently means that you can get in 100 feet. Why because they haven't cleared the paths. Crowd now backed up pass the globe.

Update now open. Feel bad for the employees manning the rope line. Crow was pretty upset and they were getting some uncalled for abuse. That said someone from senior leadership should hAve been on hand to address the issue.

Oof. That does seem rough. I always feel bad for the people who have to manage the staggered start.
There was no staggering to the start the park both on social media and on the maps advisortised parking and Englsnd openings at 3:30 which more or less happened snd the hamlets opening at 4:00 that didn't. Part of the issue was that it was fairly evident that Scotland and the front of the park were ready. They could have easily opened them and blocked off the parts not ready. Gloria was advertised to have a 4:30 show. They didn't let anyone in till about that time despite Iranland clearly having been pre cleared as the path through there were barely even wet. People were yelling and waving the maps with the advertised times on them at the poor people manning ther rope line who had no answers.

I really have to hand it to the park they did a wonderful job clearing the paths and getting things open despite the issues with opening on time. It was nice walking around with real snow on the ground.

It just would have been nicer with the 1 inch not 5 ?

Double edged sword...looks nice in the snow...but hard to get to and operate...

Granted everyone seemed to get more than expected....but at least with it was a warmish wet snow for a change and not an ice storm!

I really have to hand it to the park they did a wonderful job clearing the paths and getting things open despite the issues with opening on time. It was nice walking around with real snow on the ground.
Not going to lie, the Holiday Hills Santa is kind of creepy, what with the up lighting and all.
