Chessington World of Adventures — Project 2027: Minecraft World

The official planning documents for one of Chessington's upcoming major projects were released last month. This project involves a re-theme of their Wild Asia section of the park (LINK HERE). The area will feature a new roller coaster and tea-cups ride.

While the replacement theme has yet to be officially confirmed, I think it's safe to assume it's Minecraft. It was rumored for months, and the concept art released by Merlin definitely resembles the plans for Chessington.

Chessington Submits Plans For 2027 Replacement of Wild Asia And New Rollercoaster - Chessington has submitted plans to the local council for Project Refresh & Renew for the (very likely to be) Minecraft project. 2027 is now officially targeted as the first year of operation.
