I would be thrilled if the park had some Enya music. She's my favorite Irish musician. Many people don't know her by name, but when they hear her music, they know it.

Edit: I think I just realized the problem here... They would have a hard time trying to find someone with her vocal range. Plus, she layers her music (records it up to 80-ish times), to make it sound like many singers when it's really just her. Even if they could do it, people might accuse the park of lip-syncing. That's something I never want to see the park stoop to.

OK- I am REALLY showing my nerd side here. But I love the deep space 9 tribute on youtube by Enya. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avyQXDM_Z3U

Nothing beats emotional sadness right after the show ended than clips of the show to Enya's "On My Way Home".

If you do not like Enya, I respect that. However... I pity you. It got me through cramming for college exams.

Can anyone point me to an electronic file lurking on the web which contains the line art logo for Celtic Fyre? I've done a pretty extensive search, but can't come up with anything. Did BGW ever send out an email containing the logo of the show? As a last resort, I can work from a photo. I have a little project in mind, something along the lines of this:

The flood of responses never materialized, so I stopped by the park after work yesterday and took some pictures, like this one:

I did some photo editing work to clean up the pictures and convert them into a logo in vector graphics. I used this to program my CNC milling machine, and etched on the reverse side of lexan sheet, creating these:

When lit from the edges, the etching lights up:

First off, very cool stuff you made there! Impressive etchings.

Secondly, I've never really noticed how awesome Celtic Fyre's logo is. The ancient Celtic lettering and the "fyre" almost glowing really make it look great.

Interestingly, after some research, I discovered the symbol over the "I" is a triquetra, an ancient Celtic symbol symbolizing 3 things coming together, sometimes thought to symbolize the 3 marriage promises (there's the connection to the show): to love, honor, and protect.

Wow that is epic! What are you using them for? Just decoration?

My first motivation was to do something special to make a custom frame for the enlarged picture I won on the Celtic Fyre facebook page's photo captioning contest. Making these tags is a quick and easy way to "proof" the logo design. They make good keychain fobs and tags for duffel bags or backpacks.

I've made similar tags with the team logo of the high school robotics team I mentor. The kids love them.

I made these for my nieces after their first trip to Water Country, last year.

I can't sell these (I'm sure the logo is copyrighted), so I'll just give them away as gifts. I figure a good number will make their way into the hands of the cast and crew as "tips". The first one is going to a certain usher who got me my first seat at a front table a couple weeks ago. I also have my eye on those cool Celtic Fyre shirts the crew wears. One of those shirts might be worth trading a full sized etched logo plaque.

I've done a bit of laser engraving on wood and glass (and machine engraving on plaques and such) at a trophy and print shop where I worked years ago -- great job! Nice, deep, clean etch! Good job getting the logo from the picture.

Your logo would also make some awesome champagne glasses, I think! Beautiful work.
