If I buy a 2025 Prestige Pass - All Park Passport from SFA, which is substantially cheaper than KD’s equivalent, do I get access to the VIP lounge or whatever it’s called at KD/CF parks?

$345.40 after tax
My reading of the info released during the roll out says no. But others have reported getting stuff that that info says they shouldn't be getting so mayby.

Please do because I have KD Prestige all parks and was planning on going to Great America, over Georgia and now America this summer and want to know if it would work everywhere.

@Mattatee I have the answer:
Thank you for contacting Kings Dominion!

With the SF Prestige Pass you will receive general parking and admission. None of the other KD Prestige pass benefits are included with your visit.
Oh well. So I think I’ll go with the SFA Gold pass and all-parks add-on.

But this is going the other direction. Maybe you should contact Great America and see what transfers that direction.

I really think people are over thinking all this gloom and doom. The two closing parks are Great America (CA) and SFA. Both are small parks with other Six Flags parks in their market area. Both are in locations where the real estate values are sky high so the land is more valuable than the parks operating income.

I could see the plug being pulled on La Ronde, Frontier City, or Darrien Lake but only if either the park owner pulls the plug or they or Six Flags terminate the management agreement.

I’m hearing that we may see some needed major investments in the remaining parks— no need for gloom and doom.

It’s correct, is it not, that you can buy a gold pass (SFA) and later add the all-park option to it?

The reason I respectfully disagree is it’s not just the park closures. It’s the poor communication. It’s the random ride closures with no last ride announcements. It’s the seeming back tracking on F&B programs. The declining operations (at least IMO). As you start and keep stacking things like that it gets rather doom and gloom.

Now. Can things be going upwards for them? Absolutely. But things are very fear based for them right now of people not knowing what is going or what it staying. And for investors it’s doom and gloom because it doesn’t paint a great picture.

So looking further into my question, I think Platinum benefits may carry over to *some* legacy SF parks, however when I asked this question with SFGAdv, they said “the prestige pass primarily benefits your home park but you can check what benefits you will get at <link>. The link was to a site to check what *your* pass will get you. Of course I don’t have one yet. I’m trying to decide on gold or Platinum and this is a factor. Sigh. Does there happen to be anyone here with a SFA Platinum all-parks pass who could try this for SFGAdv and report back?

However, you may visit this link to check if there is any available benefits that can be used to a different Six Flags Parks: https://mypass.sixflags.com/default.aspx?rd=1

Platinum benefits for legacy Cedar Fair Parks carry over from park to park as long as it's the original chain I would THINK that the same would be true for SF parks but can't say for sure.

I would hope that’s the case but they won’t outright tell me that. I’m not sure they even know. Which is wild.

I mean, it's something?

Also "no plans to close any additional parks" does not mention ending contracts for Operated properties (Darien Lake, La Ronde Frontier City, etc). Just my own speculation, not trying to read between the lines too much - but I wonder if this would be something to cut out in the future? They certainly wouldn't acquire the parks like they're doing with SFOT or SFOG, and if the owners of those properties don't want to improve things to chain standards, then I could see them cutting ties next. That's entirely my speculation, but I can't think that those properties are contributing much to attendance or revenue... compared to growth opportunities at the larger parks.

I do think these parks are more likely than SFA was to be sold off AS parks, seeing as they have no sizable competition nearby and SF wouldn’t be creating competition with themselves by selling them as parks. The closest would be Frontier City and SFOT, but that’s still a 3 hour drive in between the two and I doubt they’d see it as a threat to SFOT.

Granted, I could be entirely wrong and the land could be worth more as residential or commercial space, but I’m a bit more optimistic about these 3 than I ever was about SFA.

This might be hopium and copium on my part, but Darien Lake has *so* much untapped potential, it brings in a lot more money per guest that most other parks in the chain (thanks to the campgrounds, hotel, and amphitheater), and it's located in a somewhat strategic area, near Buffalo NY and Niagara. There's season pass synergy for people who live in that region and would waffle between Darien and Wonderland. I certainly wouldn't be surprised if Six Flags moved to acquire DL, if not outright than maybe buy a stake in it so investing makes more sense.

Frontier City is, however, the only park that Six Flags singled out as being unprofitable with no current likelihood of that changing (in a prior earnings call). I can't imagine they want to hold onto that lease forever. My fingers-crossed fantasy right now is they offer EPR a huge investment in Darien Lake as "payment" to break the Frontier City lease lol

I always forget SFDL is as profitable as it is. Granted, I forget about the park in its entirety sometimes lol. That said, I do agree that they’re likely to hang on to their stake in it as a consistent stream of revenue.

Side note, I wonder if they already bought the new trains for DL’s SLC. If not, that’s a decent chunk of change they’ll save if they just leave it SBNO for another season.

what parks the didn't rule out closing, are there's parks that are on a level of Kentucky kingdom?

Yeah I think this is not likely at all. SFOT is the next acquisition and I'm not sure I see more in the future if they're losing money or closing rides/parks, etc.
