I was looking on the website today and appears the legacy Six Flags parks have enlarged their "sub-names" to match the size of "Six Flags" on the park logos. It's subtle, but present none-the-less. Additionally the roller coaster silhouette has been removed from the background. To me, this a sign of de-flagging parks in favor of creating stronger individual park identities.

Not sure how many of us have had the chance to test our legacy CF season passes at legacy SF parks (or vice versa), early here in the 2025 season.

And in visiting SF Fiesta Texas this past weekend, I was half expecting to encounter some 'snags'. But I'm pleased to report my KD pass (with the All Park add-on) worked seamlessly; giving me free parking, park entry, and to my surprise, even 15% discount on food and merch - where the Prestige Pass gave me the extra 5%, otherwise it would have been the standard 10% from Gold pass.

So I'm glad to see the new SF has this worked out (at least at SFFT), especially the in-park discount -- though to be honest: 10 to 15% is nice, it's nowhere near as nice as the 30% I was getting using my SEAS Platinum at SeaWorld San Antonio recently.

Does it work at ALL six flags parks? Including SFA? Because I thought SFA was excluded for some reason

Has anyone tried attaching a Legacy Six Flags dining plan to a Leagcy Cedar Fair pass with all park passport? The small print does not say anything about requiring a legacy Six Flags season pass. I went through the check out process up to the credit card prompt. It does not ask for pass information before purchase. I tried asking at guest services, but when used the word legacy, they thought I was talking about the legacy membership program.
Edit: it probably is not going to work, as when I try to add a pass to the Six Flags app, it fails saying the single day ticket was used. At park entry though, the systems are at least partly connected, as they were able to pull my pass photo.

Does anyone remember when Six Flags posted a list on what parks were getting additions for 2026? IMG_7871.jpeg do you think that by August, we would get changes to the list? Like some parks additions get delayed to 2027, cancelled, & other parks get put into the list (like Fiesta, Dorney, etc)

I certainly expect updates around normal announcement season. Don't know if those will be positive or negative, but it should be interesting.

It was posted November 14, 2024. Great Adventure said at ACE Eastcoaster that their announcement will be in July or August.

I want to pose a question to you all relating to the merger!

So, I'm sure most of us can agree on some things relating to legacy Six Flags parks vs. Legacy Cedar Fair parks. Namely, legacy Cedar Fair, as a brand, is a step higher when it comes to quality of food, theming and overall park value vs. legacy Six Flags parks. Rides are pretty evenly matched between the two brands however legacy Cedar Fair doesn't do much cloning of major coasters which is another win for them.

My question to you all is... What theme park chain will now become the "budget regional theme park company" (for lack of a better phrase), now that the Six Flags theme parks have been assimilated into the Cedar Fair brand and will hopefully be brought up to the legacy Cedar Fair quality standard?

If I’m not mistaken DL and Frontier City aren’t actually owned by SF, so that makes sense they wouldn’t be. The others though, I got no clue.

They’re both owned by EPR Properties, and La Ronde is owned by the city of Montreal. That leaves Great Escape and St. Louis to be concerned about, but that said, these perks also only went live today. They could roll out eventually.

If I’m not mistaken St. Louis is a very profitable park. Strange exclusion, but it could also come down to something as simple to local legality of how the perks work. That goes for all of them, really.

Honestly that list looks pretty similar to the properties I'm most concerned about with the big, glaring exception of Great Escape. Great Escape has been getting investment and it seems to embody exactly the type of property Cedar Fair has been seeking to create—a regional destination, family park with in-house, on-site lodging.

If there's any credence to those exclusions being possible indicators of upcoming cuts, the only way I could explain Great Escape were if it was being sold—and, to be fair, I do suppose it is one of the stronger sale opportunities given the multifaceted nature of the property? I don't know though. Seems off.

I wholeheartedly agree with this and hope the best for The Great Escape!

Changing notes slightly, I was on the Great Escape's website and noticed an "experiences" tab listed under "rides and experiences". While the rides and experiences tab has been there for some time the experiences subsection has not. All the other legacy Six Flags parks have this now as well, but you cannot click on it yet. Perhaps this will be a section listing especially unique offerings at each park that makes them more noteworthy such as encounters with storybook characters at the little houses at TGE or a place where the park will showcase guest experiences / testimonies? I could be reading into it a little too much, but it could become a section of the website that gives us more personalized insight into a park before visiting.

If I buy a 2025 Prestige Pass - All Park Passport from SFA, which is substantially cheaper than KD’s equivalent, do I get access to the VIP lounge or whatever it’s called at KD/CF parks?

$345.40 after tax

Gee this merger sure has been doom and gloom hasn’t it?
I mean, the writing is on the wall now that they are closing SFA. More closures sure to come. On the plus side for them I bet season pass sales for SFA (and all-parks add-on) is going to rise. At least in the short term. I know I’m getting a pass now, and likely with all-parks. Next year all-park will offer less value and so I’d bet all-parks purchases drop for those in the area of closed parks.

I’m just deciding on Gold vs Prestige. Need to know what benefits I get at KD if I get a Prestige all-parks from SFA. I just sent KD a message asking them about this.
