See the thing about this, is that this contradicts what I’ve been seeing recently at some of the bigger parks. For example, Six Flags Over Georgia, Over Texas & New England saw a very big upgrade in food options and even the hiring of executive chefs for Over a Georgia & New England. The new rides for this year have some pretty divisive theming (WoR, Sirens Curse, Quantum Accelerator etc.) I can’t speak about cleanliness or maintenance at the moment as we haven’t been in swing long enough to see the full affects.
I wonder if their logic is they have to bring in new park-level positions like Executive Chef to elevate parks with sub-par experiences up to par, but fired the employees at parks that were doing well because they already found the formula. Which is an incredibly shitty way to reward employees for doing a good job

Oh I expect an upgrade from the perspective the traditional SF parks but a serious down grade from that of the historically CF parks. Many of the people responsible for the theming an development of some of the rides you mentioned were let go in the past few days so I wouldn't use them as a predictor of anything moving forward.

I know that in at least one case the Executive Chief is a fancy title slapped on to a person an role that doesn't really match what many people thinking.

So essentially if you’re not considered a flagship park in the chain, you’ll be left to rot?

Six Flags is terminating their park presidents roles within the company--and all of them have until May 31st to get their affairs in order. The OC Register has already confirmed that Six Flags Magic Mountain Park President Jeff Harris, and Knotts Berry Farm Park President Jon Storbeck; will be leaving the company as part of this action.

i remember them saying that the Top 15 parks in the chain would receive additional investments. So I’d imagine that would be

Cedar Point
Six Flags Great America
Six Flags Great Adventure
Kings Island
Kings Dominion
Six Flags Over Georgia
Six Flags Over Texas
Six Flags Fiesta Texas
Canada’s Wonderland
Knotts Berry Farm
Six Flags Magic Mountain
Carowinds
Six Flags New England
& maybe Six Flags Discovery Kingdom & either Worlds of Fun or Dorney Park

Everything else can rot lmao

I found this on a Reddit thread and thought this was a good point to make.

u/DustHog says -

"Well no idea if this is good or bad, but with the fact that Jeffrey Seibert seems to have his role expanded, I think it could be a good thing overall.

I mean I don’t think anyone would say management of magic mountain was good for example. If they are keeping the people we know are effective and expanding their role (like Jeffrey seibert) hopefully that means their standard of park management is now higher than it used to be."

It sounds like John Krajnak is sticking around. He was already running Six Flags Great America, Hurricane Harbor Chicago, Hurricane Harbor Rockford, and Six Flags St. Louis. It sounds like he will be in charge of Valleyfair and Worlds of Fun too.

Are there clear candidates for the other regions? Jason McClure (former GM at Cedar Point) would seem likely for the Great Lakes region.
