I just dropped 4 platinum passes in favor of four Unlimited memberships, because at the special rate, I'm only paying a few bucks more a month. If BGW really did implement some of these ideas for the Premier tier only, I'd seriously reconsider my level even though we're no longer making regular trips to other places with sister parks. Membership perks are nice, but some REAL perks for top tier memberships would be very attractive to me.

Unfortunately i think "perks" are always going to be case specific to the person. my husband and i were talking about memberships this morning. While we agree on some aspects he felt somethings that are perks are not really for him and vice versa. I think an entrance in Ireland would be great. But also perks for far traveling members would be great as well. Or maybe a rewards program for guest who use preferred hotels when they visit the park. Earn points towards like a free entree' or a free souvenir refillable cup kinda things.

The fact of the matter is that a special parking entrance and "super-premium-type" parking is a core benefit of the top tier pass offerings at many parks. BGW, a park which has historically really not offered much to its AP holders in the way of benefits, has always provided that one key advantage to its top-tier passes.

Quite honestly, for many years, the use of the employee gate and England parking lot was the only perk that differentiated Platinum passes from the other tiers in Williamsburg. For many, this perk alone was enough to justify the purchase and renewal of a Platinum pass regardless of whether or not the pass holder plans to use the pass at another SEAS park.

This. The other parks are so far away, I might feasibly never use my Platinum/Premier pass on them - ever. (I wander how many Platinum BGW passholders even use this in a given year?) The ONLY reason I have Platinum is for the employee entrance/parking. If that went away, I would be highly disappointed and dissatisfied with the value of the pass. I definitely wouldn't renew at the Premier level.

From reading this thread, it seems like a couple of extra Premier perks would be appreciated, be it the Ireland entrance or quick queues or something - especially if Premier makes up a small percentage of total membership. $60/pass is a lot to pay just for England parking, and while it is worth it to me, it would go down a whole lot easier if the pass included a couple of other perks.

I would think right off the back would be a better discount for Park merchandise, Instead of 10% up it to 15-20% off Merchandise
maybe more opportunities to have Pass Member Picnics at the park through special events-Id say still be a charge to cover for extra admission it but a get together for those that are committed to continuing success by purchasing Membership
and lower the prices for the behind the scene tours-They are pretty pricey-be nice to see behind the scenes operational stuff but not for what they are charging-

That's an impressive slew of perks they've created; I'm impressed. There's a substantive number of ride nights, and lots of unique sales and gifts, such as the free Food & Wine sample. But what I really like is "Early Entry Saturdays" in July and August. I'm not sure if they picked up the suggestion from here or not, and hopefully Early Entry can extend beyond just Saturdays in the future, but I'm ecstatic that the park has picked up on one of my favorite perks at Kings Dominion (and if they did pick it up by listening to the suggestions on the forum, more power to them).

I'm very happy with the selection they've presented. I am curious how they'll implement early entry Saturday's, 25/50% off quick queue, and the free food/wine festival pick. I'm really hoping that the quick queue offer won't be hard to redeem. Maybe buy them online or go to a specific gift shop.

Wow this is really more then what I was anticipating. It does beg the question why did they announce the QQ for new purchases I would think that this would have been enough of a carrot to offer to get others to switch without an added incentive.

Does "Early Entry Saturdays" mean 9am or does it mean 9:30am (which use to be the normal opening time)? Did they take something from everyone and make it a "perk" for members?

Yes they are in addition. At the bottom of the park page Nicole posted a link to it clearly states
