Question:
If they did a luncheon round table with some executives for 'passionate pass holders' say 3 times this summer, and for $50 you get to tour the park with them before opening, attend a round table, and get a lunch at the end of it; would you do it?  Think of it as a way of taking this thread and going to the park with it.

I know, even if I had to pay for something like that, I would 100% do it.  They asked about this in the membership questionaire they sent out over the winter before implementing this system.

1 - In that setting they have to listen to you.
2 - Getting membership face to face with park leadership would be a great way to get a great net promoter score (NPS is basically how likely you are to recommend something to a friend).
3 - Putting a voice and a face to leadership, and vice versa, would be amazing for the park.
4 - As someone who always goes to the park alone, it would be nice to have a mixer to make some friends to go to the park with.

Yes, I would ABSOLUTELY pay $50 for this. I would even be ok with it happening during the week and I would take off work to do it.

Yes, definitely! An in-person BGW nerd fest with fellow enthusiasts several times a year, AND getting to meet park leadership? Sounds like a wonderful idea and worth the money.

Oh my God that a brilliant idea I would be willing to pay that for a meet and greet like that.

That is a very legit point. Getting a chance to ask questions to higher ups could he very enlightening, but only if said questions were good. These kinds of sessions can easily become awkward. It's a dinner edged sword.

Definitely a possibility although usually putting a price on something like this as a barrier to entry can act as a deterrent for rando questions.

Honestly I think it might up the chance, including people who feel they can "demand" something because they paid to be there. I'm sure it'll be a minority but I expect it would happen.

That being said, I still think it's a cool idea.

All depends. I would think that them prompting discussion rather that just “What do you want?” is what would happen.

So in that I see less open forum bring up your own idea and more “We’re thinking of going to a standard 1 entree, 2 sides, 1 desert meal option at all eatieres and you can design your own plate. What would you think of that?”

I personally think if they lead it right they can minimize those issues. And also: every group has a guy like that.

Maybe, but I can't imagine it would be as awkward as having to network with people you have absolutely nothing in common with, for work. At least in this case, we all know we have something in common and therefore something to talk about.

Unless you're talking about awkward for the executives if people ask them inappropriate questions, in which case, disregard what I just said.

I don't know if this has already been mentioned. I strongly believe that the PhotoKey pass should be valid at all SeaWorld parks for members with a premium membership. I think it's insane that I have to buy an additional PhotoKey (at full price) for every single SeaWorld park that I visit.

I really feel cheated with PhotoKey since it does not include every SeaWorld park, but only the park where you bought it. Cedar Fair includes all of their parks with their photo pass, even with their price point being less than half that of a PhotoKey at BGW. Including all parks in a premium membership would make me feel much happier about owning a PhotoKey.

True. It would be great if it were a core group that went as the spokesperson for everyone and had a chance to rework and reword questions if need be. But its never that easy lol.

I thought about that and it's why I have it as an upcharge item. That and I think if they did it as a less "open item" and "by invitation", they could get some good groups. It's why I also suggest directed narration. I really think it could work and would be nice.

But unfortunately no matter what you do there would be that one person to ask awkward questions or demand stuff. It's on how the people from the park would handle it, and I would hate to see them not do something over that fear.

I agree that making it an upcharge item would help weed out those that would only show up to make trouble.
A few years ago, my alma mater hosted Ben Bernanke, so needless to say there was a large audience turnout to hear him speak and ask questions. Since Dr. Bernanke is most definitely a target for inappropriate questions, prior to the event the moderators provided everyone in the audience with index cards on which they could write their questions. Then they took those cards to weed out the inappropriate questions and remove any duplicates, and one of the moderators asked him the remaining questions after he spoke. I thought this was a great idea for several reasons: (1) If questions were asked directly by audience members with no moderation, time would have been a problem because the stream of questions would have been endless; (2) it was much more efficient because questions were answered only once, rather than having the same question asked over and over in different ways; and (3) the moderation allowed for the intelligent, thoughtful questions to be answered while preventing any direct attacks. Also, this process was by no means an attempt to bias the discussion or undermine freedom of speech, because some of the questions he received were pretty brutal (but still well thought out and intelligent).
My point is that an upcharge, in combination with moderation similar to what I described above, may be sufficient to prevent any problems.

I can't remember if this was already brought up or not. Another cool thing would be early access for members (and maybe 1 guest? Just because I know I often bring family who aren't members, etc and that's probably common, but can be limited in numbers to avoid it being taken advantage of). Kind of like Disney's magical morning program. I know an hour might be hard to manage but even half an hour would make a huge difference. Maybe have them once or twice a month or something since more often might be difficult.
