Yeah it's legit;
The batting cages will be replaced with a dueling coaster, another family coaster that will be two coasters, similar to Gemini at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio, Dalpizzol said, in that "you are racing against the other coaster."
There will be 24 people at a time, 12 on each coaster, racing each other, he said, which will be better volume than the batting cages, where the volume can fluctuate.

And there's more.
He said they are planning a new ride called Zero Gravity, a rotor ride where people load in, there are no seat belts, the floor drops out when it starts spinning and there's zero gravity so people can climb the walls, go upside down and sideways.

Dalpizzol said that ride will replace Eurobungy, which is low-volume because of the nature of the ride with four trampolines, needing to get people set up in the harnesses and then do the ride. Eurobungy maybe handles 25 people per hour, he said, while the new ride will be able to handle 25 people per ride, so about 125 people per hour.
Rotor is a really good ride for this park, and they're probably the best SBF Visa attraction on offer. Simple, compact, no restraints, visually impressive, fun, and deceptively high capacity. Weird move that they're not squeezing it indoors to run year round though.

Then there's the kicker;
The new dueling coaster ride will be included with the wristband, where the batting cages are not, he said.

"We're really trying to pay attention to the value that we can bring with our unlimited pass, the wristband pass. And making sure that the queue lines are shorter," he said."

We're a 25-acre park, and we're starting to really draw large crowds. We do about 500,000 people per season through the door. And we want to make sure that our queue lines are not too long on each of the rides so you can get the maximum amount of rides for your unlimited wristband."

C.J. Barrymore's is a really nice park, I stopped in last year, but they aren't cheap, especially if you're there for select attractions only. The two current coasters go for $8-$10 a lap and it's not much else different with other stuff at the park. In a way these will both upscale people to the wristbands AND provide better value with said wristband. $&%^ me, a Kid Flash relocation will attract literally every enthusiast in the midwest next season and almost all of them will cough up for the wristband. They're going to make @#$%*&^% bank off of us :)))

This is also exactly what Fun Spot Atlanta SHOULD have been. Barrymore's has invested well over the years to actually be a really nice place and they're rolling in money right now. Meanwhile the other stayed a ghetto, then went into serious debt with an unsustainable addition, and is now closing.

First off, they're doing 500,000 guests per year right now?! Jesus Christ. Imagine what the likes of IB Parks, Enchanted Parks, and Fun Spot think when they hear that. 😬

Also, this story is very funny and thoosies are right to be amused. That being said, hot take, this is a smart move. The rumor was that Skyline leased these things to Six Flags, right? Presumably they'd be doing the same here. Upfront cost to C.J.s is almost certainly miniscule, marketability is high, and worst case scenario, the coasters just get sent back to Skyline again. Not a huge deal if you're an FEC like this. You could have an SBF Visa in to replace them in months, max... and then you're getting another news cycle out of that addition too. Not really all that bad a deal.

As for Skyline, it's MIRACULOUS that they found someone to give them like... what... a fifth chance now?! Obviously they should have been in do-or-die, we-have-to-actually-do-this-right mode the last however many times too, but goddamn, THIS TIME THEY HAD BETTER HAVE IT SOLVED. This product COULD do gangbusters for Skyline IF they have actually solved its problems and Skyline can manage to revive even a slight bit of their absolutely trash tier reputation. Fingers crossed.

I have to imagine Fun Spot and Mr. Staples are quaking in their boots right now, wondering what on earth they're going to do. Enchanted I like to imagine sees this as something of a challenge, maybe a "if they can do this, we can too!". That's baseless speculation of course, but that seems to reflect the attitudes of all three companies mentioned.

Right, so the identity. I think there’s a clear consensus going around that this Kid Flash is more likely Over Georgia’s rather than Fiesta Texas.

The former was seen on the move heading north out of Atlanta, which normally wouldn’t mean too much if Skyline’s factory wasn’t based in Orlando. It’s also got far less operating hours on it out of the two. The Texas one is apparently still in pieces at the park and hasn’t returned to the factory for any possible refurbishment.
