RE: BGW's Facebook Page

There is no high road on facebook. Still, I've presented arguments that are above name calling.

I just think the park would appreciate it if we didn't add to the needless clutter. The park is in it's 37th season, they can defend themselves if they feel the need.

RE: BGW's Facebook Page

The basic fact of the matter is that today's society accepts sex in everyday life. It's all over tv, stores, beaches, internet, etc... If people think they can have their kids completely removed from this, they are sadly mistaken. I mean really, Busch is not hosting a trick or treat event here. This is clearly an adult event. Everyone has been warned, and of course the entitlement that comes with a season pass to some people will always be there, but thats not Busch's problem. There are plenty other events you can take your kids too while there, or better yet, schedule your meal around the show. I've done this plenty of times to avoid the rush of people all trying to eat and watch a show at once.

And if you can't read a map due to the rain, I suggest you give up as a parent. Its pretty simple to put one and one together here. If the show they are suggesting you don't take your kids to, starts at 1, you can safely assume it'll be the show they are warning you about. If there was going to be two versions of the show (day and night version) then they would let you know. I could right now, find a show on tv, that shows more than nurses. People also automatically assume their kids will turn to perverts because they saw this, ever heard of puberty? Its going to happen anyway.

I also agree with Shafor on the strip club. I can clearly tell most people have no idea what a strip club looks like on the inside. Also, I can tell most people have not seen any true Broadway shows. There are shows much worse than what Busch is putting out there, for free I should add. People just always have to complain.

Also, I loved the people that complained about not getting anything for free during pass member appreciation. It just blows my mind.

Or like my wife said, maybe do a little tamer version during the day and a racier one after 6.

I'm in full support of this. It'd be one thing if it was in a place like the Abbey Stone Theater, but the Festhaus is THE main eating location in the park and thus families before 6. If they want the park to be kid friendly during the day, they should make some changes to the show prior to 6pm.

RE: BGW's Facebook Page

One last point then I'm done. I think some of you guys may be giving too much credit to the "parental guidance suggested" notices. That cuts a really wide swath. It can mean anything. Typically for the shows it has always meant that they have some people in scary costumes so little kids might get scared. Frankenrock was "3 pumpkins" and parental guidance was suggested. All you have to judge by is your past experiences with what the park has offered. An appropriate warning would be something like: "This performance contains adult themes, costuming, and situations that many parents may find inappropriate for children under 12." Something that actually gives the parents some guidance.

Personally, I'm on the fence with whether or not I thought it was appropriate for my kids. On one hand I don't think the outfits are that big of a deal. But the dry-humping and the part with werewolf sticking his hand up the nurses skirts do give me pause, to be honest.

(BTW, sorry to be so crass my description but, well, that's what they were doing.)

RE: BGW's Facebook Page

Exactly. I don't have a problem with the outfits, but some of the things they did with those outfits are not family friendly in any sense of the word. Igor had a lot of those moments that really shouldn't be in there, at least before 6pm.

RE: BGW's Facebook Page

I'm fine with an "Adult themes" warning, anything to let people know what they're getting into. I think that's the worst BG messed up with the show content.

RE: BGW's Facebook Page

Wow. Those people are so informative; you really do learn something new everyday.

RE: BGW's Facebook Page

My goodness.

I rarely look at that facebook page and now I know why!
