As I mentioned above, during busy times, the current employee booth is staffed by a Traffic (Ops) TMs. Security checks TMs at another booth (blue route and X). Occasionally both lanes are open, with buses on left (purple) and cars on right (red)

For you real old folks (and history buffs) this used to be the main entrance to parking for all guests and the TM routing was the blue line.
And a random fact that no one cares about. That building with the white roof is the security building.

They must have stopped doing that since 2017, since almost every time I have gone past there during operational hours during my tenure at the park, there has been at least 1 JCC ambulance parked there. I don't see why they would have stopped that though.

[Edit] I forgot that station was there, but that has been there a while and they still kept a JCC ambulance next to first aid while I worked there. Usually had at least 1 pass out most days, in which they would respond. More on hot summer days or really busy days.
There is actually a very tight supply of ambulances in the York/Williamsburg/Jamescity area. It's possible that they stop the practice to not tie one up sitting there with little to no use most days. Also the close location of Riverside hospital might have contributed to that given th as t you are talking about only a handful of minutes to get to it from the park.

As a side note I can't really see a back up having much if any impact on response as there is plenty of ro ok m to maneuver by a line or so of cars at the entrance you would really have to have a lot of cars for it to matter.

I worked at the park in various capacities from 2009 until about a year and a half ago. I cannot recall an ambulance every being permanently parked there. There is always a health services vehicle permanently parked there

Great, now there’s going to be a bunch of uninformed people trying to use something they don’t understand. That’s even worse than just telling people. ?

Just another reason why I loathe that group. They don't understand where their boundary should be. Instead they just go around doing and saying everything they can. I've seen multiple people get in arguments with the admins because the admins are spewing incorrect information but they get defensive when corrected.

Just to clarify and (maybe) end the ambulance talk. Up until a year ago I was a BGW Security Dispatcher, working primary the Health Services radio frequency. For the past 5 seasons I can attest there has never been an ambulance based at the park...even during the chaotic Howl-o-Scream.

Health Services has the highest rating for a first aid location. They are licensed to do almost anything except surgery. Every HS TM is a licensed paramedic (usually picking up extra $$ from their normal Fire Department jobs). The "receptionist" at HS is an RN. On busy hours there may be 2 RNs on duty.

If a paramedic HS TM encounters a serious situation, they contact the lead, who then instructs Dispatch to call JCC. Dispatch relays the pertinent patient info and location. Until JCC arrival, BGW HS will treat them on scene. Dispatch will inform other Departments (they each have separate radio frequencies) of an inbound ambulance/fire truck to clear traffic lanes, etc.

If that's TMI, admins feel free to edit/delete.

No, they never kept on parked there ... they just call them often .. like a lot.

First, let me preface I'm no BGW fan boy (just read my post history ?). And I'm not singling you out as I've seen such comments from time to time, but that statement is totally false. As I stated previously, every Health Services TM is a licensed paramedic. They treat everything from splinters to the worse cases. They will call JCC when they deem the guest needs immediate hospital/doctor attention or the guest wants to go to Doctors Hospital.

I can say first hand that sometimes weeks go by without the park calling 911 for transport. Even during the most chaotic time of Howl-o-Scream, nights go by without a need for JCC transport. That not to say it doesn't happen (one night I had 2 concurrent incidents requiring JCC) but it's not a regular thing.

One aside - the park has AEDs located in each hamlet. These cabinets are alarmed. Should someone open and remove the AED the alarm sounds in Dispatch, who will immediately call 911 while also sending a HS TM to the location.

Getting back to the discussion of the thread. Are we all in agreement that this "secret" entrance is just the TM entrance and these people are just over zealous team members (the FB OP's author has posted photos of themselves in off hours at the park) and think they are more interesting/important than they are?

Yes.

Wouldn't it be nice if BGW actually enforced their media policy on employees posting places other than BGWFans and ParkFans? We can dream...

I agree, I'm not sure why the park isn't doing something about it. The admin you are referring to isn't hiding the fact that she works for the park.

Probably cause they don't really care as long as you don't post anything negative about the park. And (unless it has changed since I worked there) the social media release you sign at hire on doesn't say don't post about the park or even don't engage in discussions or forums about the park, but mainly don't post pictures and videos from a non-guest point of view, don't openly criticize the park on social media, and don't post anything or discuss anything that is newsworthy that the park has not made an official press release about. Photos from the top of Alpie? That passes. Guests ride Alpie and can see everything in the pictures. Photos from a back area looking at Invadr, that doesn't pass. Guests cannot access the service road behind Invadr. The biggest issue is that, in my experience, enforcement of this policy is usually up to the team member's supervisors, who may or may not have time, or care about what their team members post, except in extreme circumstances. Then HR gets involved.

Wandering in through Lumberhack and claiming you thought it was still Howl-O-Scream.
Nobody can get mad at you if you look like you have been lost in the woods for 5 months

Does this count as negative?

I can pull that off! Just ask to see my driver's license photo some time.

No. It is a legitimate concern based on current events. Negative would be posting slanderous and smearing info about the park. A legitimate whistleblower has so many more options about legitimate concerns anyways. No reason to take is straight to social media first.

As diligent as the social marketing department seems to be lately, they probably don't even monitor sites other than once a blue moon. ?️‍♂️

So like negative or derogatory statement would be me saying how much the park sucks, how the staff are horrible, etc. (I mean that only as an example.)

So now this team member is posting the prices for everything on the menu at every restaurant at the park... Not sure how the park is gonna take that
