Probably a bit unrelated, but if anyone else here was at the ACE advertising shoot this morning just wanted to say I enjoyed hanging with you guys through all the sitting around! Hope the afternoon shift and what not also enjoy their time I know a couple others said they're going in this thread.

Curious to hear more from the afternoon group regarding what their ride experiences looked like compared to ours in the morning.

What I’ll say specifically is that because of the filming setup, I don’t think we’ll have a clear sense of what the ride experience actually looks like until previews tomorrow. And even then, feels probable it’s still in tech rehearsal mode for the previews, in terms of the effects.

Definitely reserving judgment until I get on it with proper levels of darkness.

Agreed, lights and what not probably really skewed everything, was kinda hard getting an idea of what was goin on.

Team members confirmed this to the afternoon group.

I really like the ride and found it far more impressive then what I was anticipating. There seemed to a consensus that the left side of the train was a better ride then the right.

Can you describe to us what’s was going on during the ride as much as you can? (With a spoiler warning of course hahah)

After participating in the ACE shoot, I’m still withholding full judgement on theming until getting a regular ride. Because of the filming there were lots of extra lights in the building and they weren’t playing any audio in the queue or on the ride, so it was difficult to get a sense of how everything ties together. The ride itself is fun even though it lacks intensity, and the launches - especially the 2nd/4th - have a little more zip than you would expect from a ride with a top speed of 36 mph.

Just curious, how bad do we think crowds will be at park opening today? Anyone have a crystal ball handy? I’m planning on swinging by around 2 and leaving work early.

I think you’ll be fine if you arrive at the parking gates at 2 - sure, lots of members will make an effort to get to the park, but it’s still before 5 on a weekday, there’s a functional limit to who’s able to make that life choice.

Acknowledging that it is still in technical rehearsals, DarKoaster struck me as a very mild Verbolten after the theming broke.

For me, it needs increased speed, dramatically better storytelling, and a more interesting seating position (something like Hagrid maybe).

Is this a pre show or just a static picture?
