And in the Upper Great Plains (Dakotas, Minnesota) we called them (sled, like kids rode) toboggans! I think that drifted down from Canada alough with calling our hats toques.

And now I can't stop thinking about Canadian Darkastle where Ludvig just apologizes for having a spooky castle.
“OOO sooory didn’t see ya there, mighty nice sled you got. Say did ya stop by the shop for some Timmy Horts on your way in? If not I got some over here before that nasty looking storm I brewed some in. Sooory about that storm buddy but a spirits got got have their privacy eh?

A moderately reliable source has said that the park plans to not open DK till after the Italy Bridge work is done and it reopens. No clue if it's good info as the person is correct about 50% of the time.

If that's the plan now, it hasn't been for long. Maybe timelines on the crossing project look a bit better than was rumored previously? Interesting rumor though.

Logistically I can believe that. I assume they're thinking of the bottleneck opening the attraction would cause and would like for there to be another way to enter and exit the area.

I have a hard confirm from multiple sources that testing has started on the ride.

I can confirm too.

I haven't wanted to say anything because, unlike with most coasters, the testing and commissioning process isn't actually the precursor to a debut. Scenic shipping and install, show synchronization and tweaking, etc. are going to be the final barriers to opening this time around.
