I already have an issue with them cheaping out for snowmobiles and also the creative decision to replace the old dark and mysterious DarKastle font with this weirdly cartoony font. Storm aspect could go 50/50 as long as it is clearly snow/blizzard related and they quit it with all the lightning considering they have a lightning-esque indoor storm coaster literally next door.

I like that they are saying they are giving attention to theming, but I won't get my hopes up. Actions speak louder than words and the actions so far I don't necessarily enjoy, so let's hope they revealed the worst bits first (thunder and lightning snow storm traversing snowmobiles that look like jetskis).

Why is this a limit of 76 inches but Wave Breaker doesn't list one? Same issue with Pantheon and Velocicoaster. Unless they just don't list the maximum online.
Pantheon also has the max height, but you have to go to the ride to see it.

I wouldn't expect anything more than a lighting package and maybe some 2d vignettes.

I'm wondering if they plan to take the effects from the storm out of VB and stick them in this show building - that's the kind of vibe I'm getting from this

I wonder if they even remember VB has multiple effect sequences. They probably forgot the logo has a lightning bolt in it too. Really want to know what themes this was up against in the theming brainstorm session, "snowy thunderstorm with snowmobiles" couldn't of been the golden solution.

Thanks I am not great with some of this stuff and don't actually know how to embed a tweet so I used the screen shot to try and make sure he got credit. Can not wait to see what it looks like with theme installed.

I love it. 😍

Comedically, one aspect I feel will apply the most to this ride is the disclaimer in the promo video at 0:17 that says "Experience elements may vary." I take that to mean that by 2025, the elements will be variably dark and deactivated due to a lack of upkeep. 🤣😝😂

Kidding aside, I am not kidding. Love the ride, but keeping expectations low for the longevity of the theatrics unless Busch appoints a salaried ride elements czar to oversee such things for $111K/year.

PS: I hear Wendy's is prepping the fast food bags for DarKoaster as we speak, and debuting a new dark chocolate "DarkFrosty" to match the chilling thrill of the ride with the delicious, sweet smoothness of their signature ice cream treat. Stay tuned...

Can we, like, not knock something before seeing the execution? This is super old.
You mistake me criticizing someone's choices as criticizing the entire ride or even the execution. I am strictly criticizing what I can at the moment. Regardless of execution, I am not a fan of what I listed, so I am skeptical about the overall execution of the ride. I have super high hopes being extremely connected to DK, and I doubt this ride would ever live up to my infinite expectations, but I will at least be fair in my criticisms. Even if I had 0 predetermined expectations and hopes, disliking the snowmobiles that look like jetskis because they are too cheap to spend some of the money they saved by already having the entire building built for them is entirely warranted IMO.

Is there any chance given the ride system and/or ride itself, of them running one of those snow machines that makes it look like it snows indoors but never reaches the ground.

I think the (defunct)Williamsburg Yankee Candle used to have one in the Christmas room.

Kinda of make use of the storm theme more

I’m really pleasantly surprised they made the right decision in turning this great slow building back into an interesting attraction. I’m interested to see if they can cash the cheques they’re writing for it.

I'm cautiously optimistic. I really like the story and the tie-in to Darkastle lore.
Feels like there will be a huge opportunity for an awesome pre-show to set up this experience, but we'll see what they come up with.

The snowmobiles feel like a cop-out to save money, but I'm glad they tied it into the story.

If the theming is anything like what was shown in the video, this is gonna be an awesome successor to Darkastle and a great addition to the park.

Proofread 13 News, always proofread…
View attachment 27701

To be fair to them, the fact that BGW didn't embargo traditional media so they could have their articles prewritten is mindboggling to me. I was able to pre-write my piece thanks to leaks—traditional media didn't have that luxury though. BGW is shooting themselves in the foot with the inevitably poor reporting that results from frantic, thrown-together articles like this.

Considering the need to clarify that 68" is more than five and a half feet, it doesn't appear to be a proofreading error on the end of 13News... It appears there was a typo elsewhere, though certainly further questions should have been asked.
