Honestly, when I saw the Holovis/SEAS link, it made me a bit concerned. I'm not too familiar with their work outside of Mystic Timbers but I wasn't very impressed with "the shed." Then again, I felt KI also over-hyped it in the first place.

I think that had the shed not been so advertised, people would’ve been pleasantly surprised. If you’ll notice, they haven’t really said anything about theming other than what the interview shared earlier in the thread stated.

While I am a bit worried for any tie ins to the old darkastle story, I’m still hoping I’ll pleasantly surprised.

I have not been very impressed by Holovis-involved projects previously. I've known they were the scenic/media contractor on DarKoaster for a while now and I feel like it has really tempered my expectations for the coaster. I hope they prove me wrong, but not having Falcon's working on DarKoaster is very, very concerning if you ask me.

Wouldn't the quality of work be up to park direction and what they're willing to pay for?

That would be my understanding. But seas being seas….

I've known they were the scenic/media contractor on DarKoaster for a while now and I feel like it has really tempered my expectations for the coaster.
Could this be because one of their projects was super hyped up and fell flat as a result, but would’ve been nice had they not hyped it up?

And there's the problem. SEAS isn't willing to pay for good theming
“yeah so we were thinking we’d project Ludwig’s face on this cloud and he’s like RAWR it wouldn’t be that expensive on the budget at all maybe an extra 5 grand or so”

Scott Ross: “hmmm that’s also the price of the extra two stools for the bar on my next yacht on the 4th floor of it…..I mean I really wanna bring 2 extra friends that can use those stools where would they sit? Yeah coaster in a box”

I thought Holovis did a superb job on Mystic Timbers. I was, and still am, very impressed with the final result. Holovis also made great choices with their subcontractors. Daniels Wood Land did a phenomenal job with the physical propping and IMAScore produced an incredible soundtrack.

Holovis was hired by Greg Crane when he was with Cedar Fair Planning and Design, who already had a fantastic vision for the ride and its theming. I don't think SEAS really has that kind of vision or passion for theming...

No matter who the creative studio is, if they are given money and are let off a leash, they can come up with something great. You have to love what you do to be involved in this career path, and anyone who does that would take full advantage of every opportunity they can to create something fantastic. Sure one studio may be more efficient and can crank out something slightly better for the price, but at the end of the day the big drivers are their creative freedom, budget, and the relationship between the studio and customer.

I've seen people create some outstanding experiences working with very little based solely off of a huge desire to create something great for a customer they like. Same as when the customer comes in with a fantastic vision themselves and helps reduce the workload on the studio. But if those two are missing, a creative entity just needs time and $ to come up with something special. Unfortunately with SEAS, I don't see them hitting home on any of those three fronts. Even if Falcon's was involved due to their success with DK, they were working with a far better customer then compared to now.

Bottom line, this all comes down to SEAS, not the creative individuals they are probably not paying enough to create an experience. Because I guarantee SEAS has had 0 good ideas from their side in any meetings.

Well, under “Limited-Time Offers” this exists: D19DBC2D-24EE-4D0E-99A4-EB749AA69AE8.png 7895D962-9726-42E7-A0D9-B09E3CB10844.png
Now here’s where it gets interesting: these QQ’s start June 11th. But also note: Mach Tower is also listed on here.

Just thought I’d share this.

No it's one ride on both Darkoaster and strangely Invadr according to the details.
Invadr is a pain for QQ as it has no dedicated access. If my understanding is correct, that's why Tempesto was also only a single-use prior to it's removal from QQ altogether. (This frustrates me quite a lot on its own, but that's another discussion.)

My guess is that Invadr and Tempesto (if we ever see it with QQ again) will always be single-use, and the newest coaster will also be single-use until the hype dies down.

I'm just happy to be able to QQ session Pantheon now.
