I actually think the bright orange and blue clashes with the dullness of the actual map a bit.

I liked the burgundy-white because it went better with the dark green grass and brown tops of the map. Plus, after a while, it almost started to look like an ancient map if you had it folded in your pocket for awhile. This one looks just looks like crumpled up paper. But who am I kidding, I'm talking about the colors on the side of the map. :)

If they made it a little more cartoonish it might look better, in my opinion.

It is brighter and more attractive, I just thought the colors blended better with last year's map.

Looks like they paid attention, by the way those maps are printed daily. The actual map without the words on the back is a template of sorts, the information like showtimes and such wording on the back is what is actually printed each and every day.

Also, they print of so many thousand at the beginning of the day and print more as needed, all the leftovers get recycled or trashed.

Maps and show times use to be separate printed materials. Here is a Show Schedule for 2004.
You can see the shows of that time. I like the little badge that mentions the Rhythm Chefs.
I haven't read all the threads here. So, I don't know if any of these others shows needed some source material.

Are they changing the map next year or is it going to be the same (again :() ?

It should remain the same unless they have anything in particular that they feel the need to change.

When it comes to park maps changing, it is up in the air unless there was something that needed to be added or revised, then it would be more likely for them to change the map.

More history...
This is a schedule for the March 20 Passport Member Preview Day.
Mentioned is a Frequent Diner Card. Bronze, Silver and Gold Levels.

Cooler, tho', is the announcement for Irish Thunder's opening on April 10, 2004.
Plus, the two shows in Ireland. "The Hunt Family Fiddlers" and "Irish Festival".
Anyone remember these? Should we add these to a list somewhere?

"The Hunt Family Fiddlers"

Anyone remember these?

*Raises Hand*

They were fantastic. I have their CD around here somewhere I believe...

If I remember correctly, they were only visiting the park for a very short period of time- almost more like a concert than an actual show. Anyone care to confirm?

Here is the last for now. Our crème de la crème for history at hand.
This is a 2002 Show Schedule. A very large, foldout brochure.
Sorry for the dirt and crinkles. It has been around.

* I like how on the older map, some rides and buildings are different from now.

* I spy villages named properly, a zoo, and food NOT allowed in the theaters.

* Win a M.I. Hummel figurine.

* "Imaginique", "Starlight Orchestra", and "Pirates (4D)". (Hey, we don't have a teary smiley?)

* "This is Oktoberfest" with Bob and the "Trip the Light Fantastic" extended dance set at 9:00 pm.

* "Knights, Dragons, and Such" show in Land of the Dragons.

* "A Trio of Three" NEW FOR 2002 for the kiddies. (On any old lists here?)

* Budwiser Beer School at Grogran's, Club Busch Gardens at the Rhine River, and "Wild Wings" in the Wild Reserve.

* Listing WHAT THE TIMES ARE for the village show in Killarney, the Rhythm Chefs and the Boogie Band.
!!!!!! Old BGW FTW !!!!!!

* I like the notes at the bottom about days off. Funny. Wait, they had days off back then?

* Notice the two actors that use to do the skit in Aquitaine? In the middle of the "O" in "Show"?

* Just look at ALL those wonderful CRAFTSMEN! TEN of them!!!!! One of the things I miss most.
(The candle guy is probably tired of talking to us.)

I didn't see this one in the first post. 2004 Howl-O-Scream Map.

2004 Howl-O-Scream with a brochure from the entrance gate. I don't know if there is any defunct info on these that someone would like to populate to their respective threads. Only 4 houses, plus the train, and street part. I liked Distorted Dimension with the 3-D glasses. Other shows are Spooky Kooky, The Fairy Lore Players, Mind Over Magic (New for 2004), and Witchy Poo & Pumpkin.

Look at those season prices.

It gets me so sad to see how much we have lost through the years. Saw Hunt family two times..loved their show. And still wish they had the meals cards..definately was worth it with family of four. I am afraid to see what next season has in store!

Thanks so much, BGWFamily! It really makes me miss what the park once had. That golden map with the country flags...even makes me sad! It's cool to see some of the old things the park had, though. A few notes:

The pumpkin ratings. We've talked about them before. I know nobody really listened to them, but it's better than nothing. Take a look at THIS:
