Yeah then they're only giving $5 Busch bucks instead of free item passes. Not really complaining because that makes most items either free or really cheap but that's not what is advertised.
Screw it, I’m having some frozen cocktails on BGW. If they’re working that is. Dole whip and Icees either arent ready yet in Fiesta Italia. It’s going to be a long day

All the parks do this when you get a membership or annual pass, you only get your picture taken the first time you actually use the card at the turnstiles.

I'm guessing you redeemed the voucher and then left, if you used your card in Williamsburg, then they would've taken your picture there at the turnstiles.

Nope, I went into Busch Gardens Williamsburg and my pic was not taken then. I was there for several hours actually.

did you use the voucher or the card to get in? if it was a voucher, it only works one time and they cant tie a photo to it, if it was a card chances are the employee didnt care to add your photo or they were slam packed and were just trying to get people through the gates

Worked ok today. Got my $10 cash card.
Does yours also say that it's only valid today? Apparently, Guest Relations was swamped today with people, including myself, who didn't realize that until later in the day. Guest Relations added a note to my pass so I can receive the Busch Bucks at a later date from them.

Side note: It kind of concerns me that the park can (and will) sometimes attach notes to your pass, even if you wish to leave positive or negative comments. I really don't like being marked for leaving feedback. There is actually a thread about something similar elsewhere on the forum.

It says online that the $10 is to be used on the day of redemption...

I honestly don't remember if ours said day of redemption only like the free item vouchers or if they had an expiration date of the end of the month like the quick que vouchers. I know they say can be used for food or merchandise. Used mine on lunch today.

Thank you for posting that! It isn’t listed on the member rewards page. I discovered that I am no longer receiving member mails, and had to sign up again.

Interestingly, it matches up with an offer for a free ticket for people who purchase a membership now (see below).

Card. I used the printout at the kiosk to get the card, and then used the card to get into BG Williamsburg.

It was shortly after they opened though, so your theory may be right.

Does the passmember have to be present to allow the “free ticket” guest into the park? Or can they redeem the pass (at the computer station), give it to a family member, and then leave?

Back when I first purchased the new memberships (in March), my old pass ez-pay was processed the day before I got the new passes. I had asked for a one month refund as I was paying for both tickets that month.

I finally got my refund a couple of weeks ago (I just saw it on my credit card statement). It sure took awhile, but glad it finally came!

I printed my $10 BG bucks reward yesterday and it was good only for that day, which I hadn’t realized. I hadn’t been planning on staying but ended up going in just to find something to buy. It said it was good for “up to $10” toward a good or merch purchase, so I took that to mean it was a one-time use so I bought something over that. Would have been nice to have more clear language to know if you could use it like a gift card, i.e., until the $10 limit was met but I didn’t want to risk it.

^ This. “Rewards” that are time or day limited aren't great rewards. Especially from our distance. Coffee and donuts only from 9am-10am? These perks need to be more open ended. We ended up "buying" something we didn't really want since the $10 BG bucks had to be used that day. We got under $10 stuff so it didn't cost us, but neither did we feel rewarded.

We have reaped barely ANY of the “rewards” that we can’t get to on whatever-certain-day at whatever-certain-time. We live 4 hours way. So their attempt to be fair certainly hasn’t weighed very fairly on us. More so they’re only rewards to locals. (Still love our local buds, #nohate!)

And where is our Member entrance? How easy and cheap would that be for them? We use to be able to go in through the exit side by showing our passes back in the day.

I’m still evaluating keeping these new memberships. I’ve seen nor gotten nothing worth the increase as of yet.

I hear a lot of the complaints about the rewards.

You can kinda compare the annual pass to the premium membership (extra 5$ a month) since there are no blockout days and has free general parking.

If you forget that rewards were ever on there, you still are getting Christmas Town included in the membership, which annual pass doesn't have, and the two free guest tickets, which accounts for the cost difference. AND you get admission to Water Country, which the annual pass did not include (1 park pass for 12$ a month).

If they had never announced rewards were a thing, nobody would have complaints and they would see the whole membership thing as just fine, since they either did this or raised the price of the annual pass.

Just be glad you even GET rewards. I got an annual pass this year right before they announced memberships and I am so jealous of the perks the membership has, of being able to go to Water Country, bring guests with them, have the occasional free snack or something in the park.

Seems worth an extra 5$ a month to me, considering one month was literally a 10$ off coupon. The rewards alone almost account for the price difference if you do the math.
