They’ve been using id.me for military passes for quite some time now. It’s not exactly new. Also, the park uses a photo validation method for entry as well so…
That's disappointing to hear. And having someone look at the photo on the screen and compare it to what you look like (their current "photo verification" system) is not the same as feeding your facial scan biometric data along with your PII into a database, shared with the federal government, that they admit (in their own privacy policy) that they will be sharing with third-party entities.

Too bad they couldn't do something like this for senior citizens. The real issue though, does it include parking?

Black Friday Pre-Sale is live for tickets and memberships.

I can't remember, was the pre-sale better than the actual Black Friday sale last year?

This sale looks really good if youre going for a 2-park or 11-park membership!! Not sure if the actual Black Friday sale might beat these prices. The platinum membership is priced lower than what I paid back in 2019 during their Black Friday sale ($22.49/month then versus $21.50/month that it goes for now).
For a few personal reasons, I'm keeping my current membership alone, due to a possible relocation coming up and being tied to a new 12-month commitment and also losing a few of the grandfathered platinum membership benefits I receive now.

Their system continues to amaze me. My wife and I both have Platinum memberships due to renew next week. We purchased them at the same time, on the same card. Hers is showing a renewal at a reduced cost compared to what we paid last year, mine is set to renew at the FULL UNDISCOUNTED price. My processing fee was higher than hers as well. Wild.

Ours was all dicked up last year when we renewed. We ended up having to call and spent a good hour between waiting and getting it rectified.

The processing fee seems random. There has been quite a lot of dissent online about the variance of the processing fee. It seems to run from almost nothing to $20. Which needs to be factored into the monthly price. The price may appear to be cheaper than current rates until the fee is added. I ran numbers, but it would cost more than my current rate, which has not changed since 2018.

Last year when I renewed my membership I tried using the IDme website as I'm registered on it. Well when I found the BGW membership link it took me to their regular membership page. I thought that this year I'd have to go the park to get the discount but I tried the IDme site for the heck of it as my membership runs out in about two weeks. Well it went to a page that is strictly for military and veterans memberships. I was pleased about this but when I seen how big the discount was for my 1 park Unlimited pass I was shocked at how good it was. And to top it off there wasn't any Service Fee! Needless to say I bought it.
