Any predictions for next year? We know nevermore is leaving, I wonder if anything else is.

Now that HOS 2023 is over and the memberships have been updated, it looks like we can say with confidence that, even if BGW does move to a Kings Dominion-style "upcharge-ish" event with separate day and night tickets, members should retain free access.

Does anyone know why they stopped doing the Scotland scarezone? I know years ago they did a killer farmers scarezone but was curious if it was just to refocus the actors.

I think the switch to Terrortories took the park in a more quality over quantity direction (initially) that justified cutting some of the event's scarezones. Heatherdowns, due to its terrain, was probably just one of the obvious areas to vacate.

The hill alongside the white fence heading to Ireland is too steep and slippery. There is a history of people running from scare actors and then slipping, falling down and getting hurt.
There was was a brief time that Hack Pack got to scare on the other side of the stables but the noise of the saws frightened/upset the Clydesdales so they had to stop scaring in that area.

We can say for sure the to maze locations in where nevermore & Witch Of the Woods will not be accessible this year. Due to the construction fencing including all of these areas.the 25th anniversary coming up We've been hearing something about a 5×5 concept. So probably 5 houses/mazes, 5 shows, 5 territories, 5 BOOze Bars & Bites, 5 unique erie experiences. And we also know they plan on using the new event building behind the Festhaus as well. Which is south of the railroad tracks. Which will most likely hosting nevermore chapter 4 If we do get a new maze this year or returning favorite. We could see the space behind the royal palace theater which was catacombs or cornered space next to the right of festhaus returning as a viable options this year.
Shows will include a show in Ireland, England, festhaus, Italy, and maybe a new show in the Abby Stone Theater?.
Spooky unique experiences could include maze tours, behind the mask, show behind the scenes, lights on walk through, Sinister Shopping, & maybe a new twist on no escape rooms. But not the same thing as what we had before.
Territories should be staying the same maybe. . . If monster stomp returns than we will see ripper row returning, roaming hack pack will be returning, Meat Market, Scary Tale Road, Gorgon Gardens, & Fest-Evil. Personally I'd love for a cure of dark castle vibe through the territory in Germany. But that's just me.
Once we hear more we will post it

While this will surely be an unpopular opinion- I wouldn't mind seeing another take at a Vault-style house again for the 25th. Howl-O-Scream has some fantastic attractions in the history books that weren't featured the first time around. Maybe they could even focus solely on the icon characters of the past fleshing out their rooms beyond what we saw in Vault XX.

I think anniversary years are great years to do this! Although I think it should stay as a one year thing to make it that much more special.

As far as locations is it possible for them to start construction on spaces not affected by HoS first and then after the event is over start work around the station fully?

I Have a feeling that they might add back the Haunted Train Ride because during the town hall meeting one of the requests was the HOS train and since it's the 25th anniversary I would think that they would

Bringing back the haunted train ride would be fantastic!

My only wish for this year's Howl-O-Scream is more fog. Specifically in the scare zones.

As a former ride operator during HOS… absolutely not, please. Had a multitude of times where we had to call down rides due to fog impacting our visibility, thus making it unsafe to operate the attraction.

I can confirm it's been discussed and that there is even some desire amongst some on staff to
do so.

I will also state that based on what I have heard the odds of it happening are VERY VERY slim. I will add that new coaster construction will only decrease the odds and leave them at pretty much zero for the foreseeable future.

There's HHN rumors of a Greek Gods house. An idea I wanted Wiliamsburg to jump on since 2019!
With Pantheon coming, I was thinking of a new house to replace Circo. You(the guest) would have angered the gods somehow and different portions of the maze are dedicated to some type of horror a god has sent you. For Apollo, there could be burn victims, Minerva could be psychosis, an Underworld portion for Pluto.
I'm going to hope against hope that they match Uni with a version of their own.
