    • Located below Escape from Pompeii
    • New house for 2023 (replacing 2022's Inferno)

    • Located in Drachen Fire's station building
    • Third iteration of the new-for-2021 house, Nevermore; replaces 2022's Nevermore: Chapter 2
  5. Witch of the Woods: Scorched
    • Located in the woods behind Festhaus Park
    • Technically the second iteration of the new-for-2021 house, Witch of the Woods though Witch of the Woods was reversed in its second season without a name change

I thought death Water bayou was one of the worst howl-o-scream houses ever made, i thought witch of the woods was amazing as well as Killarney dinner, But for me Nevermore Chapter 2 was the highlight for me. I went in that house multiple times and every time I got scared. I think it is definitely one of the best houses ever at howl-o-scream.

I truly do miss the best of the best houses though such as deadline, cornered, unearthed, Circo Sinistro, fear fair, cut throat cove, and 13 your numbers up.

I also really miss the best scare zones such as sideshow square, scavengers, Wendigo woods, and well ripper row is honestly amazing too.

However I think Busch is getting better with scare zones. Scary tale road, Gorgon gardens were both amazing.

My understanding is the new entertainment head was previously the head of Howl-O-Scream development for BGT and that they have fairly big and ambitious plans for this year especially given that it's the 25th I would take this posting as a good sign that we might have the best one in years.

Usually we don't see info start to pop up till at least mid summer I am sure that there is plenty still to be announced. And I repeat I hear very positive things about what they are looking at this year.

I’m really hopeful in the new entertainment head.
I just want to see good character training in scareactors. My biggest gripe the past ~4 years or so is that the actors are freestyling with what they think is scary and not being the character they’ve been cast. I’m gonna be hopefully that’ll be fixed haha

Auditions started today for previous scare squad actors and many did not make the cut this time. They are allowed to reapply.
