It being turned off almost certainly means something broke. Presumably it will be fixed—it is a pretty important waterfall—unlike Vbolt's apparently. 🙁

Childhood memories of the hand pumps before they eventually stopped working and were never fixed to my knowledge...

Hope you're right that they'd fix it and not just let it be until they plant some ivy or something over there.

I love that waterfall. Walking by that little stream on the way to the front gate takes me right back to my childhood memories of visiting the park.

In the park's defense, a lot of plumbing for stuff like this is deeply embedded into the landscape, so they might be waiting for a slower time of year to fix it. At Kings Dominion, the waterfall that flows from the top to the bottom of Old Virginia broke in summer 2019 and required the park to essentially excavate the entire plumbing system over a period of several weeks during 2020.

The murals beside the bathrooms on the Festhaus are flaking.

There is also flaking on the mural on the back wall to the left of the draw bridge. I meant to get a picture, but I was eating when I spotted it and then Phantoms started and I had to escape before it ended.

I had one of the kiosks lock up on me. I get that happens but I am really curious as to how I as a guest got a screen offering reboot and restore options. All I did that caused this menu to come up was re tap on the screen one time trying to wake it up so it wasn't like I was looking for anything. Also as a side note I was rather worried about what to do since there are no staff at the kiosks anymore. Thankfully it fixed itself after a few seconds.
