It is an older structure, these things happen - though assuming the old AB ownership would have spent the effort on fixing it right away, if have to guess that unless it's serious and needs to be fixed right away the park probably is already aware and may be finding a crew to fix it.

Pretty sure that's not normal but don't have any photos to prove it. My guess is that they're rehabbing the wood/facade and aren't quite done yet.

Looks like was stained and that the stain has weathered away. Definitely it need of a new application.

Could it be from a pressure washing? I could have sworn it was wood siding before, but flume POV videos from various years confirm the bridge was just stained plywood. It was much darker in the ACE Arrow Documentary POV from 2015 (Almost was one of the riders for the shoot, but they ran late and I had to open that day).

Looking through some photos that I tool a few weeks ago of the statue in front and trying to zoom in on that area I can't see any signs that it was there at the time the photos were taken so at least the stuff on the building maybe recent storm damage that they have not had a chance to repair.
