Well I've heard Ticks can be quite the problem, I was in the first aid office at Animal Kingdom as someone in my group had slipped and need a band aid I noticed somebody had a tick right on there leg! Of course it got pulled off and since it's Disney they were treated like royalty for the rest of their day. I just hope Busch Gardens and Kings Dominion can keep these pest away from the park to prevent further injuries.
According to local scientists, the population of ticks in general went way up this year. This may have been related to the excessive snow early this year.
Seed ticks live in nests, usually less than 30 inches off the ground. Bushes, shrubbery, and fallen trees are their domain. Unlike their larger dog and deer tick brothers, they hitch a ride on you in large numbers as you brush against their shrubbery usually attaching themselves to you somewhere from the waist down.
