Seed tick/chigger problems have been reported around smoking area benches at KD. Apparently this isn't just a BGW problem.

I would point out that it takes a lot to get me to post in this thread. Ticks are inexcusable.
Just a question: what preventive measures do parks put in place other than cutting down all trees to control ticks?
Well I've heard Ticks can be quite the problem, I was in the first aid office at Animal Kingdom as someone in my group had slipped and need a band aid I noticed somebody had a tick right on there leg! 
Of course it got pulled off and since it's Disney they were treated like royalty for the rest of their day. I just hope Busch Gardens and Kings Dominion can keep these pest away from the park to prevent further injuries.

They could put DDT fogger machines on the back of all the coasters' trains and cycle them periodically /s
They can be thematic and have people dressed as plague doctors spraying around the park.
According to local scientists, the population of ticks in general went way up this year. This may have been related to the excessive snow early this year.
The ticks are terrible down here in NC already this year. They are only going to get worse the warmer it gets.
This is a simple fix, just wear beekeeper suits at the park from now on.
Seed ticks live in nests, usually less than 30 inches off the ground. Bushes, shrubbery, and fallen trees are their domain. Unlike their larger dog and deer tick brothers, they hitch a ride on you in large numbers as you brush against their shrubbery usually attaching themselves to you somewhere from the waist down.
