Not sure if anyone's posted about this, but It looks like Alpengeist needs more than somebody to fix it's patchy paint work.

The banana peel ski has been fixed:

And no, you're not the only person who sees zip-tie like things, I am 99% sure those are exactly what those things were. I guess its better to fix it that way then not at all....

I was yelled at by an employee for the first time Friday.  I don't blame her because I could tell she was tired of having to direct traffic.  Is it new this season for the Pretzel Shop to require payment before filling a cup or selecting your purchase or has that always been the case when it is busy?

Note in my photo below how the park has the entrance to line up and order/pay next to the Trash Can marked "EXIT ONLY."  Duh!  Being a good customer I entered the other side and started to fill my Tempesto cup when I was yelled at. :(

I've never paid first. Maybe they are trying a new system, since the Pretzel Shop is always so chaotic and the lines get so bad?

I think that is the worst damage he has sustained thus far. I wonder how much work it would take to repair him. :-/

Also, small side note: A guest clearly punched his eyes in. Why does security harass me for pointing my camera at things when shit like this is happening? I feel like keeping an eye on high risk props and decorations is a far better use of their time. I guess that would just make too much sense though...

... not that I'm bitter or anything.

You irk them the wrong way Zach. It is clearly all your fault.

Fix it with two ping pong balls, problem solved.

I think its more of a being at the wrong place at the wrong time situation. I'm pretty sure if security caught someone busting up one of the props, they'd get kicked out of the park or at least a stern talking to.

- Not like anyone really gave a crap about the Illuminights decorations to begin with anyway.
- Or maybe security just hated the Illuminights frog :p

I'm not sure I've ever posted here before, but something happened this weekend that I thought I should share with everyone.

We found three ticks in two days at Busch Gardens. One landed on Matthew at a table next to Trappers. A second attached itself to Tony at an unknown time. And Zachary killed a third one on the new patio in San Marco.

BGW has always done a good job of controlling bugs, so I want to respond preemptively to the inevitable comment that there are a lot of trees. There are have always been trees, but we have never seen ticks before.

Honestly, I'll take KD's mosquitos over BGW's ticks.
