Has anyone spotted the usual heated tents for extra outdoor seating? And is Pretzel World the regular pretzel shop next to Verbolten? Why change the name?
The park has always called it Pretzel World internally. Often the names the park refers to things internally are different than the "official" names that we see on the sign outside. There are a lot of examples of this. Take Aquataine refreshments that's what the sign says but ask someone in the park where it is and they might not know because internally it's called France Coke Market.

I always wondered why it said “Pretzel World” on the map. It seems so ordinary. I’ve always just referred to it as “Pretzels and Beer,” not that that’s much more creative?

Member Preview day all over again? Is tonight cancelled? I know there's a COVID thread but we were on the way almost out the door and Northam just imposed Virginia Covid limitations to 25 people both indoor and outdoors??

EDIT: article:

The only impact that could theoretically effect BGW would be the 10pm moratorium on alcohol sales, though it shouldn't be an issue with the current hours.

Thanks for clearing that up!! Back to getting ready for tonight now! Lol. Definitely thought theme parks were lumped into that category, hard to keep up with the constant changing COVID stuff.

SCRAP THE TRAIN!!! seriously there are no lights or decorations and the hold between cleaning cycles is horrible. Granted this is tge first time doing it but there is aposlutely NOTHING out there just pure transport.

Was the music going the whole trip for you, or no? It clicked on at Tweetside for me.

And while the lack of lights is a bummer, kids will still enjoy the train for the reasons they always enjoy the train, so I think it still serves a purpose. But definitely a skip for older groups.

I got on at Tweetside and it was on yhey forced us off at Caraboo to clean so I have no idea about the in-between segment. There was also about a 15 20 minute wait held on the tracks before getting into Caribou because the train in front was being cleaned. There also was NO crowd control and it was very hard to distance getting off at Caribou with only one exit open and the whole train exiting. Rows are blocked off on the train and you are space one group a row.

I am impressed with the job in the eating area and getting into Fest House but the actual serving line needs significant work. You enter from the left side and are sent down the back across the dining area and are held in the beer room while they space you to enter the serving area. The line for service is a jumble mess with no spacing from row to row but forward to back spacing.

Update while theyvare cleaning tables they also have wipes by the napkins incase you want to wipe it do to be sure. That a great touch. Food portion size seems to be down but the price is also cheaper 13.99 for the Christmas dinner so I consider that a wash.

Honestly, I feel it's this way everywhere, and despite this being with us for nearly a year now, people still don't get the concept of personal space and pushing up in line isn't going to help you get anything anywhere faster.

People were actually decently good with that but there is no real spacing horizontally from row to row. It dies no good to be 6 ft from the person in front and behind if I am more or less forced to be a few inches from some to the left or right.

Yay I've missed the Das Festhaus!!!

One specific heads up for anyone going to the event: they’ve switched from individual thermometers to a temp scanning tent (at least at the France entrance), so they make you take off hats and glasses as you go through.
I had my glasses on no problem.

Waiting for the train cleaning, while sitting on the train underneath InvadR, was complete bullshit. What a waste of time! Watched 8 coaster cycles go by. They REALLY need to park both trains, one in each station, and do this. Sitting on a full train waiting just really pissed me off. Other than that, we enjoyed ourselves quite a bit last night!
