The drinks are included in the cost and there is a show included. This should be an immersive experience and from what I hear sounds like it will be really cool.
I'm sure it will be cool, but really curious to see how well this thing sells. The silver lining for SEAS, I guess, is that minimal attendance likely results in breaking even, given the $80 (2 people X $40) cost of entry.

From what I understand they are only allowing like 25 people in at once, so it's not meant to have a large number at a given time.

At that price point for crap drinks I don’t thing the 25 person cap will be a big deal after the first month or so.
I could not disagree more. I think it’s gonna be tough to get in there for a while. And if they let the bartenders be bartenders and develop new drinks and routines monthly to bimonthly that place will always be packed.

Although my preferred alcoholic beverage is beer and I belong to the stein club for my beers I have a few questions. If reservations are required, I assume there is an allocated time to attend. Once you reserve a time, how long can you stay? Is a TM literally going to kick you out when your time is up? I assume the drinks will be served in disposable glasses so you can take them with you. And will GS be able to make reservations for you? Say, for example, a one-time visitor wishes to go and knows nothing about a reservation policy; will they be able to get reservations? I can't help but think about that single time visitor paying $30 to park, $90 to get in the park and then paying another $80 for 3 drinks. Depending on the alcohol content it could get interesting to consume 3 drinks in 30 minutes. Personally, I won't be going. Not sure I would go even if it was a walk-up bar where I could buy a drink.

Did I miss something? They offer 3 frozen drinks right? And i’m sure those will be batch mixed…..that dosent leave a lot of room for a bartender to “be bartenders”.

The key word they said is “if”

You'll have bartenders but they are not going to be creating their own drinks. This is more of an entertainment thing than a culinary location, so they won't be making it to but they will be putting on a show.

They offer 3 different sets of drinks and you pick which set you want.

That’s a shame. Coming up with a drink program is one of my favorite things of being a bartender.

I would expect it to last about an hour - 90 minutes from what I've been told.

The reservations will work like they do for tours and when they did reservation based dines people can join day of in park, if there's room.

Based on that it seems like they might change up the drinks seasonally. It would make sense the ones they are advertising seem very summery with watermelon jalapeno and strawberry lemonade

Also, don't forget the $40 per person is an "introductory price". At some point it will go to $50 per person. I just can't imagine paying $100 for 2 people to get 3 drinks each. I wonder if they will tack on an extra 5% surcharge.

Based on @BGWnut's post, it sounds like you're mostly paying for the show and not so much the beverages. Given the small capacity, it may allow staff to somewhat personalize their performances... Guess someone's going to have to go and review.

How much do you think 3 frozen drinks cost in any tourist "area" in 2022?

$40 sounds good. $50 is getting steep. This will all come down to the quality of the cocktails and the experience.

I will wait to see the reviews.

But I will say that in the past 3 days I have seen / heard this "speakeasy" come up on the radio twice, social media 6+ times, and the news twice.

It is a thing. It will sell.

One aspect nobody has discussed here is that the price includes alcoholic drinks, and the price is the same for guests ages 3 - 20. I am kind of surprised they didn't offer a cheaper kid's price. If parents don't get the extra drinks, I will be curious to see how many families visit the pub. That said, perhaps the intention was to make the pub less family friendly?
