Thankfully the rumor isn't turning the Globe back into a 4-D house, that would be a bad step backwards. ?

I mean, after all those millions of dollars that BGW put into the Globe to be a live performance space again after 20 years of 4-D movies, seems like a smart move to keep it a live show venue for a long time.

*Looks at Thomas' past revealing he actually liked London Rocks 1.0 and Britmania and makes a statement like that*

Oh okay, I was confused by that but thanks for clearing that up. As for the rumor, I hope it gets confirmed soon.

renovating the stage doesn't necessarily equate to new everything. the wings and such could all stay relatively untouched, but likely slightly altered to be level with the flooring.

the projection mapping is likely staying the same, as for MSoRR and SNM, they will likely be updated to reflect any major changes if need be.

the park seriously has issues with british shows, actually i doubt that BGW can make a decent show anymore, their last good show they out out was Celtic Fyre, since then every new show has really been awful, AFO being the exception as it wasn't awful, just the audio was awful for the most part.

That's what I'm thinking too, this renovation will be a flat stage but the projection stage may be staying with major changes to the way MSoRR and SNM are staged. Sure I guess the park does have it's issues with making new first season shows, but I felt Britmania and OktoberZest 2018 were steps in the right direction for the live entertainment department in the same way All For One was a step in the right direction. But I'll take it in comparison to Scott Gasparich and his horrid creations, heck even Spark wasn't god-awful, just a flashy bore.

I have zero interest in this show. Shame maybe they couldnt run this during the day the drop the screen and run pirates after say 5pm. Oh well...one less thing for my money in 2018 in my book.

I'm fine with it running as long as they don't ruin the theming of Banbury with Elmo signage and stuff past just a sign on the door saying showtimes. Wasn't gonna go see Britmania, won't go see this. I lost nothing.

I just hope Banbury reverts to its former glory of theming; without the flags and with the classical music only.

They are probably inside as we speak painting all the woodwork orange, green, blue and yellow.........lol

Edited to say I really really hope that is not happening.

I'm curious if they'll get rid of the 60s crap then.

This is the only potential positive I can grasp from this. I actually like British-Invasion Era music, and I was fine with Britmania, but didn't like how they rethemed the entire area when London Rocks showed up.

Britmania wasn't my favorite, but I'd see it occasionally. I definitely have no interest in this show so I'm pretty disappointed. Hopefully it's just for this year and is just a transitional show in preparation for something better next season.
