Is there anywhere to find out the beers on the marquee? I have a couple of aunts coming from NM that want to go to a brewery, and I want to go to BG, so I'm hoping I can tempt them with some local beers in the Brauhaus.

There are most likely MANY more local craft choices in the beir room than if you visited any one brewery on its own. Or even three for that matter.

Here is yesterday's (April 7th's) tap list/marquee:

I got my first stein fill of the year, tried the Bonnie & Clyde Double IPA from Tall Tales Brewing in Maryland. Was very disappointed when my bartender came back and said "Here you go. We only filled the stein halfway because the alcohol content is a little over 9%" but couldn't complain at all as I got the first fill for free, some Brauhaus shades, and a Brauhaus magnet!! If I was told the stein fill would only have been half way when I ordered, I would have chosen one of the other 30 beers, but I really still can't complain.

EDIT: Shades/Magnet!

I've never made it to one of these talks. Are they worth the time? Do they give small sample of their beers with full pours for purchase?

The talks we've been to were decent, and yes - two samples per person. Sometimes the 4 pm and 5 pm talks will have different samples from the same brewery, too.

The first one or two of the talks last year, they closed the doors to the room and no one else was allowed in. This kept it quiet inside. The last one we went to they were not as concerned. Similar to the two families that brought in trays and trays of food each earlier this year, and were not advised of the 'no outside food' sign (not during a brewery talk, obviously).

No just show up 5 to 10 minutes before. The one I attended on Monday was not crowded at all, I would plan on a little early as the previous poster said they do close the doors when the talk started.

Today's beer list.

FYI they did sample the Wild Wolf Blonde Hunny listed on the bottom right at my talk.  It was had full flavor with an excellent honey note.  The representative said they use local honey in the making of the beer.

That's awesome. I was in the Festhaus and was planning on going for a couple days but at the last minute didn't want to take my little sisters in there or just leave them hanging =/ What other beers did they sample or was it just the Blonde Hunny? What else was the brewery talk all about? Unfortunately, unless something changes I don't think I'll be able to make any of them because of work. Really kicking myself for not hitting the Wild Wolf talk while I was there.

June 18th 2017 Tap List

Looking forward to getting back to Brauhaus for a pint

Just wish Young Veterans Brewing Company would get some love in the park. :( They have the best beers in the Virginia Beach area hands down no contest.
