Currently they are the main beer provider for CW and they are having a hard time keeping up with one major client. I believe they are about ready to go through a major upgrade though in order to up their production.
The other Williamsburg brewery (Virginia Beer Company) won't be open for another month or so.
Though at the end of the day, they are all dependent on their distributors. On a semi related note- Virginia Beer Company has an interesting blog post on beer distribution in VA and it actually has a tidbit in there that shows how Busch influenced VA's distribution laws.

But their beer is terrible.
Really there are at least a dozen local breweries from Richmond to VA Beach and at least a handful have a large production that could be used at BGW (Smartmouth, Hardywood, Legend, St. George [which I believe was served at the park at some point], etc.)
I am going to try and answer this. Why I do not have any experience in Busch or other theme parks food and beverage department other then as a customer I did work several years in that area for a major music venue and still know people who do work in that area at a high level. First and let me be very clear on this the high prices that must people associate with price gauging really aren't that. Most of these venues don't actually make any higher profit margins then your average mid level restaurant does. As a whole I would guess that on an $8 beer the park probably sees $2 to $2.50 in actual profits once all cost are figured into it.Fur Dozy said:Regardless I cant see myself paying $8 per beer(or was it 7). Especially if it's a budweiser, etc. If they had some good brews like the ones they had during the special events last year at about 6 bucks, I would probably buy one or two. I wonder what the profit margins look like in order for the price drop to be profitable (i.e. they make $5 on an $8 beer but only $3 on $6 beer). Also part of it could be drunk insurance. Most people won't get drunk on beer at $7-8 a pop. All this could be a topic for another thread. Point and case, I will not pay that much for a cheap beer.
