Oh man. I will pay just to go have the chance to eat on the tower. This is fantastic.

In other news, they added a little bit more for the "check-in" area. Sorry, I don't have a day picture.

That is fantastic news! Let's hope this actually happens. There have been so many people on Facebook asking for a restaurant on the tower.

Also, the additions to the reservations podium look good, although the white Kings Dominion podium looks nowhere near as classy as the wooden one with the Bistro 75 signage.

I'm still hoping for some red ropes, maybe a sign in the flower bed, and some LED candles to really round things out.

Here's a neat little story about how Cedar Fair is attempting to take customer service at KD above and beyond anything else in our area.
My wife and I visited Sunday without our our 3 year old daughter for the first time this year. We were both very excited to enjoy a dinner together at the new Bistro 75. As we walked by, we noticed it was closed and could not help but feel disappointed. We got over it and still enjoyed ourselves thoroughly, riding all of the things we cant usually ride with Nora. As we began to get hungry, my curiosity got the best of me. I asked a team member walking by why the Bistro was closed, and she said 'this is my first day! I dont know". Getting off of Windseeker, I noticed 2 supervisors chatting under some trees over by the Hurler and of course, I still needed answers. Without naming anybody, lets just say I got lucky by approaching a 'longtime' park supervisor/manager. I asked why Bistro was closed and she said they were 'unfortunately understaffed'. My wife and I explained how much we were looking forward to trying the place out, and how we had heard good things about it. Out of nowhere, she became extremely nice and said "Do you guys come here alot?" We said yes. She said "Please let me buy you guys dinner at the Bistro next time you are here"...She asked for my name and # and said she would call me this week to set up a reservation for our next visit. Shocked!

Mazakman could have eaten some of the yummy goodness, but OH NO he had "Things to do" with a "Family" BAH!

Eating here as I write this. All five tables are filled, and it's a considerably slow day.

As I wrote that a group sat down next to me, and one lady exclaimed, "Oh, they have wine!!" It's the little things KD, the little things.

Sorry for the late post, I've been recovering from what Web MD tells me is Ebola.  Here are pics of the food.

Everything was great, I can't wait to eat here again.

^ That looks delicious!

And that is Zimmy! Even Zimmy looks delicious, surrounded by all that good food!

the Zimmy is a lie

Seriously, the Red Velvet cake was to die for. I was truely shocked at how good it was.

The Turkey Sandwhich was very tasty, nothing to special, but the cranberry was a nice touch. I am not one to normally talk about price v. quality, but I must say I really believe that this is the best value in the park. The food is not mass produced and it is not expensive.

3 of us each had an entree, and a desert and we split the cheese tray app. Wine was available, but none of us were in the mood. (some good VA vintages I might add) All told including tip, we were out of there for less then 60.

Look what showed up on the Dining Locations page this morning! :D

Bistro 75

Located right next to the Royal Fountain and close to the Eiffel Tower on International Street, this outdoor, full service restaurant offers amazing fresh foods in a beautiful setting. Whether it’s an intimate meal for 2 or a family affair, this is our only food establishment that lets you sit back and be waited on from the time you arrive to the time you leave and features fresh ingredients not typically associated with a “theme park” setting. Sip on some wine or a glass of beer and enjoy some of our Executive Chef’s creations like Garden Fresh Salads with produce from local Virginia farms with house made Vinaigrettes, Gourmet Panini, Charcuterie Boards and out of this world Desserts. Check with the park for operating days and hours.

Bistro 75
So we went to Bistro 75 one of the first days it was open in 2015. Bistro only had a limited menu as they were also running the International Food and Wine Festival. That said it was fantastic anyway. I had the Panini and found the bread and pesto mayo incredible. I could eat it every day. The presentation was great including the chips.

Chicken Panini and chips
