I never was able to ride it, but do have a fun anecdote regarding when it was being built.

I believe it was in 1997, when they were still testing the ride, my family and I were on the Ferris Wheel, and the attempted dual launch caused a blackout in that section of the park. We got a nice view from the top of the Ferris Wheel for about an hour while they worked on it.

Just watched Kingdakev’s video on this coaster and its problems.

It was a bit before my time so if anyone can tell me - what was the hype like while it was being built? How was the ride experience? Which track did you like better?
The hype was huge. And it came out right between the two Schumacher movies. When it opened, the lines for the first two years were unreal. I waited hours to ride it. And for some sickos like me, you'd do that wait twice to go on each train. They were both good to me for slightly different reasons. The ride was pretty rough right from the start. But it was so intense with great theming (talking about the historical lack of theming at GAdv roller coasters). Like if Flash and Viper had a baby. It's why I've said Flash is like B&R if they had more time and got everything right, and can't agree with people criticizing Flash after having B&R at the park. It was the first intense launch the park had. Lightnin' Loops was sort of a launch but not really. So the difference between B&R and GASM, Batman, Viper, Rolling Thunder or Shockwave made it a crazy, unique addition. Then things slowly fell off as they modded the ride to make it less rough in the infamous spots and the breakdowns took over. It's very similar to Ka and how it's operational life went.

My first trip to the park was in 2006 and I wasn’t tall enough to ride it yet, but it was actually functional that day and it was just so impressive to watch. My next trip wouldn’t be until 2008 (with Skechers with 1” heels to get me up to 54”) and Chiller was the biggest “almost” for me in terms of credits I missed out on until we learned Fun Spot Atlanta was closing, I had planned on doing a trip 2 weeks after what is now its last day of operation.

I was a little late to the party, so I only got to experience Chiller near the end of its life, but the thing I'll always remember is the sound. You could hear that launch from what felt like the other side of the park. It had this unmistakable roar that I can still hear in my head today.

I only ever rode the Robin side, after the barrel roll had been replaced with the modified element, and I only got two rides before the coaster was gone. It's one of my biggest coaster regrets that I never got to experience the original version or the Batman side.

With everyone complaining about Flash: Vertical Velocity and Project Purple both being shuttle coasters, I honestly don't think I'd care if Six Flags Great Adventure and Premier Rides announced a new Batman & Robin: The Chiller. Give it modern launch technology, make it a little bigger, and I'd be ecstatic—even if it was another shuttle coaster.

Edit: I was a teenager at that time and I remember watching "rip chiller" Youtube videos with Celine Dion as the music for hours 😂 I wonder if the one I'm referring to is still on Youtube.

Edit 2: Omg I found it. lol! 18 years ago! Thoosies have ALWAYS been dramatic...

I was about to be like "yeah well with a name like "TheChillerPWNSYou" I imagine they'd feel some kinda heartbreak over their namesake" before seeing that postmortum chiller slideshows is this guy's entire platform. I guess it doesn't disprove my claim tho.

Surprised none of them were Simple Plan Untitled, slideshows were the backbone of yt back then lma

Immediate Edit: if and when they do this to its cousin Mr Freeze, catch me loading up powerpoint /hj

This was the one for me, although it originally had Swing, Swing by The All-American Rejects:
