Nooo, I loved the cake castle! I saw it in person when I was a kid, and it was just 100% magical to a small child. Remember that there are several different markets for these things -- it's easy to only see things from the enthusiast perspective!

Sorry for the double post, but did anyone else notice that there is still classical music playing in front of the Globe? When you walk into the park, you hear the Beatles, then, when you walk past the Globe, you hear classical music, then, once you're past the Globe, it's back to Beatles. The park can't seem to decide whether or not they want to ruin Banbury.

It was mostly likely an audio error that day. I noticed last years entrance music playing one night recently as well. Walk through any other day and it won't be there.

Oh, don't worry they want to. But I haven't noticed exactly what you're talking about. Did you hear the exact music that they used to play in the Hamlet? I'll have to observe this the next time I go.

I have heard Howl-O-Scream music start playing during Christmas Town probably at least twice. That was a little bit freaky. I also once heard it the other way around. I just think it's hilarious to see what kind of errors you can get with such complex systems.

One of my favorites was when the music in Oktoberfest music went all screwy earlier this season. Since most speakers are in pairs (one facing south and the other facing north), somehow the south-facing speakers were playing the normal Oktoberfest marches, while the north-facing speakers played the polka music from Rhinefeld throughout Oktoberfest. It was really funny listening to the two different types of music clashing together throughout the hamlet.

The second funniest thing was when there was Peanuts music playing on the Crypt at KD instead of ominous Tomb Raider-type music, but that's another story...

It's actually quite hilarious seeing how the system glitches up in the way it does. I'm sure it drives maintenance bonkers.

I don't think so. That's why I just wrote classical music. I think it was because they wanted the Globe Theater to still seem regal and important. That's just my guess.
