Does anyone else consider it a bit weird kd hasn’t officially said anything about the demolition of Anaconda or Berserker other than a generic ass comment to the news? Like carowinds at least put up a little blog post and announced their closures, the legacy six flags parks put out a full complete statement on their demolitions, yet kd has just let Geoff Zindren comment and took the pages off their website. It just feels so unceremonious and sad to see them go with basically nothing but whispers of their closure.

Honestly, I think the lack of a full statement has to do with the fact that nobody seems to like Anaconda, therefore they don’t see it as necessary. I personally want to ride every remaining Arrow coaster while I can, but it seems like I might have dodged a bullet with this one.

Anaconda got steady ridership and it almost never went down. I didn't like it, but obviously some people did.

Definitely need to brainstorm a nickname for all of this (chain wide) Something brutal to highlight the fuckery. Maybe a topic for a new thread, The Six Flags Merger Ride Massacre? The Six Flags Merger Silent Plague? The Six Flags Merger Thanos Snap? The Six Flags Merger Long Night?

Great Adventure definitely deserves its own nickname for this year alone.

From what I remember I believe it got over 500k riders per year typically, which is more than flight, grizzly, reptillian, and racer if you count the sides separately. Still it seems like a crazy decision to close two classic rides on the verge of their 50th anniversary and only thing you have saying they’re closing is just basically a yeah that’s right to the news stations.
Maybe they plan to formally announce the closures when they announce the jungle x enhancements they teased in the Rapterra update but at this point it’s hard to say

it's VERY popular with younger riders, because for many it's the first/only looping rollercoaster they are tall enough for, so it sets up a special place in ther minds as being "that" ride.
Twisted Timbers and Tumbili have the same height rules, but it's definitely a loss for younger guests as they won't be tall enough for Rapterra.

Zimm Reaper?

I wouldn't classify either as a looper. inversions are not he same as loops. But then, I don't even really consider Tumbili as a coaster either, even though it technically is- it gives much more "flat ride" vibes-

Sadly, this is a continuation of the death of Arrow loopers, especially custom ones :(

They have such a nostalgic charm to them. At least I know that Lochness Monster will be safe for the foreseeable future. I would love for that to eventually become one of the oldest steel coasters and even more of a gem and destination ride.

I hope it gets a status like Matterhorn bobsleds—where it’s just that iconic that they pour all their love into keeping it going
