I think it still is, idk not 100% sure. Rode in the front row 5 times today and it was nice and smooth ;)

The only part that's really rough and jerky is the turn right before the mid-course brake run. If you don't hold your head back, it'll rock you.

Personally, I agree with the notion that Alpie's just getting old and isn't as silky smooth as it used to be. But we're pampered at BGW: Alpengeist is still smoother than half the rides at KD.

I hope you guys aren't suggesting that just because she's a little rough that she should be replaced.... If that was the case, Nessie would be gone by now.

This is only your opinion. I happen to think that LNM is pretty smooth except in maybe 2 parts, and Like all the other coasters it depends where you like to sit.

And that might be the Case I think you might have forgotten something Cough***Drachen Fire Cough**. And even if LNM was really rough there are things that would be holding it back from demolition.
But let's not get off topic.

I enjoy all the Busch coasters and have no problems with any roughness on them. The first time I rode Drachen Fire my head banged around so much that I had a case of objective vertigo that lasted 3 weeks. None of the current coasters can compare to that.

Drachen Fire was taken out because it's full assault on the human skull not because it was simply rough.

Do you not understand the difference between a poorly designed coaster in a good one that's a little aged?

Okay but my point was I wasn't comparing Drachen Fire to Alpengeist.:dodgy:

Alpengeist~LNM~DrachFire?

No it's more like Alpengeist> LNM> Drachen Fire.:p

No, somehow we got into this conversation about roughness on roller coasters. Then they thought I was comparing Alpengeist to Drachen Fire. And It just went downhill from there.:p

Hey hey!! Some of us like it rough.

I am gonna pass up the jokes on this one. :D

Anyway last time I rode Alpie ( grant this was a couple years ago) they had replaced the wheels which did world of good for the ride. Is it past the point of replacing the wheels will fix the issue?

Edit: Did not realized it had double posted till I got home. Sorry!

^^^How do you know they changed the wheels?

Never question a person who come forth with inside info. Do you questions Zach? No. People with inside info are people we want to keep as friends.

Sorry I didn't mean just replace the wheels, I meant redesign them. Technology has come a long way as far as computer-assisted design, etc. But I doubt B&M would bother since they already have their money and are on to other things. I've noticed the same issue with some other B&M inverted at other parks

There are probably other factors too. I noticed on Apollo's Chariot some seats are rougher than others
