I'm happy that they're loading all rows. But people should know to distance on the rows. I had a weird experience of another single rider behind me, who, instead of taking the other end seat, he waves in a pair of kids to fill the entire row. I should have stopped him but it sort of took me by surprise, and it was a novel experience at the moment. Still, not only did he break distancing, he got a crap inside seat on row 7 -- and then I noticed he got a locker just for that one self-sabotaged ride. I, of course, walked around and rode again. Maybe after some other rides he got the concept, this was early in the session -- and yes he was wearing a mask and all. Probably thought he was doing a good deed, but different time and rules...

Anyway, I didn't see any "free for all" but some people might use some help or be on autopilot.

Im actually not happy they are loading all rows. They are literally doing this for every other coaster in the park to maintain distance (Giffon not for obvious reasons but still at leas the two seat gap). And I'm not sure about you, but when all rows are open and they arent assigning rows thats pretty much the definition of a free for all to me.

If social distancing isn't being maintained, definitely put a complaint in at guest services on your way out.
Guest services was closed when i left so i sent them a lengthy email. I also had some issues with a group of ACE members acting like jackasses on Alpie trying to run the place and trying to re-ride from the exit then ignoring social distancing by sitting directly next to me.

i’ve never had a good experience with ace or ace members lol not gonna lie

So I was curious - what happened to all of the skis and things stuck in trees next to the queue?

Also, what's the likelihood they'd eventually clean and repaint all the snow sections?

Rather incredible that there are still ACE members fulfilling the stereotypes after all these years decades.

I miss the skis that were bolted to the wall next to Alpengeist's front row queue. Great little extra during its debut year. I don't remember exactly how many years they lasted there, but sadly it didn't take too long for them to disappear... ?

Why can't I picture where that second picture angle is from in reference to Alpie?

I don't remember Le Mans ever being that close to Alpie though I guess it would have had to have been given the position of the cobra roll to Griffon's 2nd immelman.

I angled these shots generally in the same orientation as the model photo.

2003 - LeMans and Alpie

2007 - Griffon construction and Alpie

2014 - Griffon and Alpie with loop visible across from Griffon's top.

So, the model does line up, even though it looked odd.

Off topic. Random coolness of a splash being caught plus three trains on the track.
BUT also showing two trains in impossible positions? It makes me wonder how these images are taken.

I guess the hard part I’m having imagining is the loop and the part of track that’s by it. Not seeing it from that angle all that often is a hard visual. I’ll be honest at first I thought it was a bad Nessie model given the yellow color.

I think the yellow may be that it's an old photograph and I'm guessing the lighting wasn't amazing.

Looking at those ariel map photos though, I never realized just how tiny the stations are in comparison to the final brake runs and lifts

I don’t know if this is an error or not but the operations manual says Alpengeist has four block zones when it looks like it has five.
