On the 2016 park map( which is finally up) it seems that Alpengeist actually looks like its layout on the map, or at more of what the layout is compared to the previous maps.

No, the old map didnt have trains. It kinda looks like on the old map that they just unwound a spring and connected the two ends to the station :) .

When I was a kid I would look at Alpengeist on the park map and I remember thinking it looked like a kiddie coaster or something, especially compared to Apollos Chariot, Big Bad Wolf, Loch Ness. When I wound up over near Alpengeist and saw the coaster with my own eyes I was so surprised

Ha, same here in fact I turned around in the other direction the first time I saw it as a kid.

Hahaha. Took me years to brave up and ride it.
 
Alpengeist is closed today according to the sign by the England patking lot. Anyone know anything?
 
That the plan but I am hitting up the Jack Hannah show first and can't see it from here so I was just throwing it out there in case anyone else knew anything hard.
