I took a few photos last night of Alpengeist and the surrounding area seeing how far my phone could go.

Fun fact, the park still hasn't updated the queue line video for the ride yet, so if it's a slow day or you happened to visit on a day where the line is in the back queue, pay attention to the TVs.

A few highlights include
- During opening year, the ops had to wear leiderhosen. I feel bad for them. Those outfits can't be comfortable.
- The park actually put quite the effort into these queue videos at one point. Compared to Verbolten, Mach Tower, and even Griffon's videos, I actually liked Alpengeist's more. Can't speak for Loch Ness since I've never been in that queue line long enough to know if they still have the stats/story, but Apollo's was updated and they removed the commercial in Griffon's queue so as far as I know, Alpengeist has the oldest queue video in the park.
- Old block logos make an appearance on the front of the zero car. That makes Apollo's shield the third oldest Busch logo still hanging around the park, not the second like I originally thought.

The park did remove the stats video that used to play in the queue house unfortunately. The rest of the vids are the typical commercials for special events/fastpasses you see on every other major ride screen.

- Alpengeist ate my new (bought used) Droid phone last week. Bad roller coaster! I hope somebody finds it although I have a feeling its pretty much a lost cause. Why does this kind of stuff always happen to my nice things? D-:

I always have my phone on me when I ride the coasters. Could you tell me exactly how you lost it so I don't make the same mistake Netdvn? (I prefer to learn from other people's mistakes instead of making them :) ) I hope you can re-unite with your 'nice thing'.

I stuck my phone in my pocket and I felt it slip out in the first drop/Immelmann. Strangely enough, it lasted me on Pompeii, Rapids, Verbolten, and Loch Ness with no issues, plus a drenching on Pompeii/Le Scoot, a few weeks ago. It's pretty durable compared to most phones I've seen.

- Normally I bring cargo shorts, but those were in the wash.

I lost my car key on Griffon two weeks ago, thinking it was long gone, I called my parents and they dropped off a spare. On the way out the next day my friends and I stopped by the lost and found and gave it a shot. Suprisingly they had it! I even remember seeing a box of phones too lol. You can always try lost and found, you never know it might be there.
