Even ignoring the current controversy around AmusementInsiders' activities online, wasn't this the guy who made up a fake bill of lading recently to use as clickbait? I feel like behavior like that should nuke any and all potential credibility for at least a handful of years.

I don't understand how that works. I put in KSlideStudios and click go and it says it is rate limited and try another instance. I tried various of them and they all say the same thing. Also how do you use it to get to that particular post?
Presumably it is largely thanks to RRR that Universal has (hopefully) learned their lesson about dabbling around with major coasters from unproven firms.
There's probably no place on the planet that runs their coasters as hard as the Universal Studios Florida resort does. They should only be buying the very, very best.
As the guy who wrote that thread, I unfortunately have both receipts and years of experience to back all of it up, wasn't expecting the response it generated online. It doesn't get into some internal politics with the park's PR team and other extremely questionable behavior, none of which is worth discussing here. Given that it's only a matter of time until something REALLY nasty comes to light, I would recommend distancing yourself from any info from and relations to Amusement Insiders. Not easy to do since his coverage of CW and their support for him is pretty tight.
Now, whatever I can provide on CW's project to compensate.
CW kind of has a lot more creative leeway with capital investment than other Cedar Fair parks, and they usually won't get much pushback from corporate. In recent years this has wielded some fence-swinging and fantastic additions (Yukon Striker, Tundra Twister, Lumberjack), but the same lower oversight has also produced some poor ride procurement decisions (Snoopy's Racing Railway being unable by design to meet demand, plus both 2017 rides were unmitigated disasters). Point is, we sadly can't rule out them making very expensive mountain infrastructure upgrades for a bloody Zamperla Lightning.
Below is a map of current construction across the park (slightly corrected from previous drafts);
Yellow are ongoing demolition zones and have the same teaser banners up. This includes a hole in the mountain, which has required Thunder Run's exit to the rerouted. Only looks large enough for one piece of coaster track, definitely not clearance for a B&M wing. Red is the new maintenance access for the mountain, it's completed and not likely to be used by any coaster. Green is the rebuilt original maintenance tunnel underneath the path, seems prime for a coaster within but no footers laid in view at this time. Wonder Mountain's Guardian remains closed at this time to allow for work to continue.
There is no actual ride construction happening at this time, everything is deconstruction. The visible mountain interior work is uninteresting.
There's about three general areas where we could see a station/maintenance bays/queue. There's been suggestions that they could use the mountain but given the existing infrastructure and need for convenient access I'm personally pegging the Skyflyer site. Grounds are good access to maintenance roads and proximity to the entrance, which has also undergone much work recently and will help spread out crowds.
Assuming that this is a coaster, there's not much that can be ruled out. My gut is that this is pivoting away from B&M as they have two ongoing 2025 projects in the States right now and the new mountain access points simply don't have large enough clearance. - Intamin, Vekoma, and Mack would all be good contenders for a high capacity multilaunch, but all three have extremely full slates right now and lead times for custom projects are 2-3 years at the moment. The latter doesn't mean anything as if CW went with any of these three they'd likely be on there by now but it's a sobering perspective indeed. All three are realistic for CW as they have the cash to spend and that creative leeway would get them a pass with corporate if they really wanted it (Intamin at Cedar Fair!). - ART Engineering is also in the ring, as they have personal relations with park management. However while they're able to deliver an attraction larger than their growing portfolio of kiddy coasters, it would be difficult as these were designed in collaboration with the Freed's (Lagoon), and their capability with LSM launches is an unknown. It's a funny prospect but ultimately not likely.
- And of course Zamperla has their Lightning product available, ex-Intamin engineers on their team, and have all but tied the knot with Cedar Fair. If they offered a solid enough proposal to CW I don't know how far it would have gone, which is why I can't rule it out. Community is pretty split up here on whether it will be Zamp or not, and I would honestly call it the popular rumor right now. Just hope it's any of the other options instead.
- Slim Chance; Gerstlauer, Premier Rides, or Maurer (the latter not in a design capacity, god no. Just that they've done some manufacturing for ART so their possible super slim involvement cannot be fully dismissed).
- No Chance at All (per different good/bad factors with each); Zierer, Jinma, Skyline, Chance, S&S, or RMC.
There's so little info available that I'm still not fully convinced the coaster is even 2025, and this is all somewhat grounded speculation as a result. Until it develops further this is probably the best rundown anyone can offer. Definitely an interesting project to follow in the coming months.
Thanks for the in-depth thoughts and analysis @TPoseOnTantrum! Super interesting and helpful to a CW outsider like myself!
I, too, have been fairly skeptical of the 2025 debut timeline given the timing of the previously revealed surveys. By the point CW was focus grouping blue sky ideas with guests, Kings Dominion already had full plan sets near finalized. 2025 seems like it would be a very tight schedule to hit—especially if it involves added complexities like mountain interactions. Can't rule it out yet of course, but I definitely see some degree of timeline skepticism being very reasonable at this point.
Does anyone know anything about possible routes to access plans/public records relating to CW projects? I have zero familiarity with Canadian public records laws.

Seems like CF has been doing 2 new major coasters a year lately. So 2025 would be the KD Wing and CW is the only other park that has solid prep work/rumors going on. Also, for big projects, seems CF usually gets a head start ala starting ground/tunnel work this early already.
In today's surveys, the "real" still of the family launch coaster seems very much to be Juvelen. Some have pointed out the layout is similar to one of Zamperla's concepts, but none of those photos (that I can find) are from any of Zamperla's promotional materials for their family launch coasters. Maybe I'm over-reacting, but the fact Cedar Fair would even use Intamin materials on a survey like this lends credence to some of the whispers that Cedar Fair be cooking with Intamin again.
I can think of one CF park that could DEFINITELY benefit from having a world-class Intamin launch coaster, especially if they truly intend to become a destination-worthy theme park...

Can assure you the animated stuff is Zamperla, the spike and trains have been promoted plenty and don't resemble Intamin's product line, plus the layout is from an idea they brought to IAAPA 2022. Don't know what park specifically of the three surveys tonight this may have been designed for, but definitely expect to see more larger projects between Cedar Fair and Zamperla. Despite my banter above the real question comes down to who would provide CW's coaster if Zamperla isn't.

Afraid I can't be much of a help beyond ImportGenius doesn't work up here. Our local insiders for all their talk don't seem to know much either so for now the prospect is elusive.

Any idea why you think they didnt go with B&M at the last minute? Seems like based on the "Wing" survey concepts and rumblings plus the last minute decision to get rid of their skycoaster (maybe for a different layout/coaster).
OK so I'm too lazy to link but apparently Amusement Insiders' latest video shows work being done inside Wonder Mountain. If true then there's a decent chance we'll be seeing the Mountain coaster.

Wonder Mountain's Guardian is reopen, with its loose artical bin system in operation.
The tunnels being built into the base of Wonder Mountain I believe will be pedestrian access. The first one is finished except for theaming and is very close to Vortex. It is currently hidden behind a wooden gate.
Nothing major can be seen inside, it is just an large empty space.
The second hole is where the exit of Thunder Run used to dump riders. The exit inside the mountain is untouched they added a wooden boardwalk to take exiting guests behind a food stand. (The wooden fence on the left side of the photo below.) The second hole in the mountain is not nearly as complete.
If coaster track is to go through here, it is going to need a small ride envelope. Also, the pull up needed to clear the midway would be extreme.
These accesses are on the first level of the mountain, there is a basement level, which has a standing Haunt maze. There is a lot of space available inside of the mountain, but I don't think too much of the ride will be inside of it due to the Mountain's supports, I suspect just a station and perhaps a launch.
A bunch of survey reflectors have appeared on the supports of Vortex on the of the Mountain, but I could not get a photo of those due to only being visible on Vortex.
The construction on the other side of the midway is ongoing, looks like mostly underground utilities work at this time.
Currently there is only dirt moving going on over at the old Sky Coaster site. For those not familiar, this is near the park entrance, quite a way from the mountain.
No changes to note around Flight Deck, and nothing by Time Warp other than a surveying reflector that appeared on a TV post last year.
We know no construction is going to happen over at the old Backlot Café, as it has been transformed into the Grande World Eatery.
This transformation has turned a derelict reseraunt into something to compliment the Lazy Bear Grill. The best part is, soda fountains have finally returned to this location.
Not really related to the future coaster addition, but the diving platform was removed from the lagoon in Medival Fair. Hopefully this is just getting a rebuild, but there are no signs advertising a show in this location for this year.
