Oh yeah, they could really do something if they used all the spaces around the entrance out to the parking lot over to PP. Only active thing in the way is Superman.

If they were to use this plot of land for a major coaster my vote would be for an RMC hybrid like Zadra at Energylandia. They could relocate Superman to Frontier Adventures next to Medusa.
I'm dying to see something this epic front and center when you drive into the park. We used to have that with GASM and the park has been lacking ever since they tore it down.

I like that. Superman could easily fit and be rethemed (Desert Hawk Dive?) where the arena is. Paired with a rehabbed Medusa (call it Viper!), that's instantly a revitalized area along with what they're already doing with the Mine Train, Fort, and Log Flume rehabs, and they don't have to buy a whole new coaster for the Frontier or make major changes to the landscape to do it. It makes too much sense so it won't happen.
Six Flags isn't spending money on relocating that within the park. It would either be sold to another park or demolished.
Funnily enough, Superman was originally supposed to be built over there - they were looking for ways for it to fly over / interact with that creek separating El Toro and Medusa. That said, there's no chance in hell Six Flags is also paying to relocate a coaster like that, they'll just remove it instead.
I'm very amenable to a coaster (particularly a wooden one) that sorta encircles Boardwalk and the Shoreline Pier to separate it from the parking lot, but I still firmly believe that building further out towards or into the parking lot is a really bad idea long-term. When Superman eventually dies, I really believe the land needs to be returned to the parking lot.
I think red is all good for development/redevelopment. Blue is what I'd like to see left untouched until Superman goes and then the whole area can be returned to parking. Yellow is current parking I could see possibly being used super long-term for maybe a resort development or similar.
I just think the current parking situation where guests have to walk eons around the perimeter of Superman is absurd and really should be fixed long-term. Worsening the problem by building more new ride hardware out there just seems like a really bad idea to me.

I could see a giga coaster doing an out and back into the parking lot if there was room for car and guest movement underneath it like at Canada's Wonderland, but something like that is all I could imagine eating up more parking lot. I do agree that superman is in a really inconvenient spot.
Red is 100% the best option, and how great would it be if they revamped the entrance to the park and you had a great GCI woodie right there next to it. Would be a great energy when you come in. Especially if they add tracer lights.
100%, and to even add, not just reclaiming that but with my suggestion above, adding to the area and adding a whole new entrance that maybe moves the handicapped then gives a great plaza with tram through the parking, maybe some better shops and guest services outside the park around there.
I agree that with the demise of Superman that land really should not be redeveloped for anything else than parking. Side note, where did you get such a recent image?

I think any park in the USA should be all over Arie considering the price they'll get it for.
I don't have the photoshop skills or energy but...
Station/lift/drop go somewhere inbetween project purple and the golden kingdom in Ka's old spot. The left turn goes somewhere behind Purple's tower and they redesign parking lot entrance area fit it in.
I am sure they have something drawn up to redevelop the golden kingdom, and this would be a marque attraction to do it.
As for the parking lot, the planning board will require X amount of spots at anytime. If they aren't up against it you worry about parking when the crowds start returning. If they are up against it, pave a new parking lot somewhere lol. If they have no space, put in a parking deck. Look at Universal Florida, parking decks everywhere.

Have it go over the entrance to the park. The station would line up perfectly across the midway from Shoreline Pier.
If you do it this way you can maybe keep the Superman tent in tactthis is good, though I'd imagine they wouldn't be too big on having Superman visually blocked. Its ridership would probably plummet.
