I’d say they’re gonna do it because it would be the perfect fit for in-between the dry park and the water park areas. If they do it, then it will expand its roller coaster collection to 15 coasters at HersheyPark

I measured the site and compared it to a Mack PowerSplash. They’d have to seriously reconfigure the midway (presumably to go over the ride, no less) to make it work. I agree it’s a logical replacement but it doesn’t really work spatially

I’m willing to bet this will be a waterpark expansion as this is really the last piece of space they can really use for the waterpark.
this and the wild mouse. i do hope they eventually do a resort like wilderness and kalahari in the future with a indoor water park

The Wild Mouse space isn't huge, and it's a tough slice of land to work with unless they also want to take out the shop and burger place around the footprint. This is already a portable model and one that has talked about being retired for a while due to low ridership (especially compared to Laff Trakk next door), but it's stuck around.
More slide towers is really what the park needs. A family slide with 6-seater rafts, a few tall body slides, maybe a trap door slide... this would put it about on-par with Dorney or other smaller waterparks and would be a nice change of pace from the more family-focused addition in 2026.
They could add a water coaster like a Power Splash behind Fahrenheit, although it seems like they are still loathe to cut into the Catering stuff (even though it seems like this business is less important as the years roll on), and They could put one along the back service road. I'm not really seeing the vision, though - I think the business is tilted towards coasters that can run in the Spring, Fall, and Winter - and running a Power Splash dry probably isn't a huge deal for most people other than a +1 credit people who don't want to get wet.

for the wild mouse slide replacement if you look at the recent additions to aquatica orlando both ihu and kare kare curl took over cabanas the size of the wild mouse and riptide racers took over banana beachs sitting area and thats is half the size of a wild mouses footprint. from the way it sounds hershey park needs the capacity in the water park more than the dry park. im just saying its probably more than likely slide towers.
This may be controversial, but I really hope when Tidal Force comes down, so do some of the food stands near by. That TF plot is ~45k sqft, but if you include everything around it, it's ~90k sqft.
I really think if they do it right they could make a really cool new "entry" into The Boardwalk, along with a whole know slide complex or two, and if you expand the scope of work more south towards the lazy river and south to East Coast Burger Works, now you have almost 150k sqft to work with.
Now this is just my opinion, but I think Hershey should really go big with this opportunity. Go as big with the scope of work as you can because this might be the last chance to add to the Boardwalk without touching a coaster. I don't know if they still do, but they did really care about coaster count at one point, so it makes me question if they would take LR out for a Boardwalk expansion. If they were ever willing to pull a big risk off an build something like Big Bear Mountain and a modern woodie at the same time to take out LR and maintain coaster count, then I could see LR coming down all in the same season.

I really don't think they will go this big with the expansion. They are also using the areas of The Boardwalk for Halloween and Christmas this year, which really only leaves January to May for construction (assuming this is even for 2027, which nothing has been announced yet). I think the replacement will be a lot more deliberate with the slice of land they are working with.
You know what’s genius, if the new slide complex gets placed on top of the
water basin for the brand new shuttle launched water coaster, which the water basin is actually called the splash zone for the brand new Mack Rides powersplash coaster, splashing riders under the slide complex.
Do you think that idea makes me wonder feel like a good combo to you with all the space cramped into this plot?

I must’ve posted this first part in a different thread but…
1. The plot is not long enough for a PowerSplash, and it’s not particularly close either. That basically doesn’t work.
2. Even if it did fit, I’d urge you to look at how big those water basins are for that ride. There would be no room for a slide complex
3. Even if there were room for both that and a slide complex, I STILL wouldn’t want that because it would disrupt the view of the ride, potentially kill the possibility for people standing on the midway to get splashed like with tidal force, and if you put the slide complex anywhere near the splashdown you’d have to take into account guests and the slides themselves getting slammed with water from closer range than is safe.

I guess they could, but I’m not sure that’s an ideal scenario for guest flow given that it basically routes people through one of two (pretty narrow, especially near Breakers Edge) paths in a busy section of the park. Wouldn’t be worth it in my eyes
