Glad to see giant Cedar Fair-era-type anniversary celebrations return after a really lethargic showing last season. This looks like a full return to form.

The Whizzer is also celebrating its 50th Anniversary and just reopened with sections of new track!

Was super disappointed this was closed when I went last month, but a retracking is worth it. Plus, now when I go back (never during field trip season again) it’s yet another new credit there for me.
Does anyone local to SFGA know if their 50th anniversary shows have an off/dark day?
I’m in Chicago for a few days and may pop by the park to see stuff. The app says the shows run every day… which doesn’t seem right at all.
Edit: it is! 7 days a week is dedication!

WOW. I just had a chance to attend this park’s 50th anniversary event tonight and boy, it was super grand! Parades, multiple shows 7 days a week, pyrotechnics, drones, nostalgic memories shown through their nighttime spectacular… so much to do! They even included the Looney Tunes characters in their celebration. Bravo, Six Flags!
