Bring back the old oompah band and elevating stage platform in the Festhaus, please and thanks.
The return of This Is Oktoberfest may actually be at the top of my 50th anniversary wishlist.

The rising stage may be too much to ask for, but I’d love a rebuilt Festhaus stage that at least looks more traditional (circular and with the classic ornamentation of the original stage) and fits better into a beer hall than the large rectangular stage they have awkwardly sitting in the middle of the restaurant now.

Roll out the barrels indeed.

Rumor has it that the rising stage structure could be completely disassembled and rebuilt, which has happened at various times over the years (guessing mostly maintenance rebuilds with maybe an occasional event), but the last time they tried the parts were in such bad repair that it practically disintegrated.

Granted, if there was a desire to build a similar stage structure again, it should be relatively easy... So I'm guessing that was merely a rumor and the real reason was a desire for change.

Considering the park will mostly see an increase in guests attendance like so many other parks who have had anniversary milestone dates . also the fact that kd down the street is also having their 50th at the same time. As well as CW having its 250th anniversary the next year. These parks will be extremely busy. The very first 2 things that come to our mind that bgw needs to prepared for longer lines. They will absolutely need to be able to handle the surplus of traffic both at the toll plaza and in the lines.
1 way we could see the park improve the lines at toll plaza is to reopen the toll plaza at the overflow parking g lot. This way if people want to just park in overflow instead of waiting in line to park they can park over there for a discounted price or free with their membership. To which we also say the park should add a new pedestrian pathway like the one from Italy parking lot. This way guests who do not want to wait for a tram can get into the park faster. This could prove to be very difficult to do but not impossible. Yes we understand there is the route 60 highway and railroad tracks. But with how many people are already willing to walk it without a pedestrian pathway. The park should try.
Also there is the issue of self kiosks. It would be nice to see the park add a few new kiosks to the England parking lot for guests parking in England. The 2 next to turnstiles will not be able to handle the increase of user's come next year.
Also, the security check area needs to be lager or updated to handle with the increase of guests. 3 metal detectors will ot be enough. Would be better if the park had them in the areas where the temperature check areas were in England and France parking lots. This would also help with traffic at the turnstiles preventing the lines from turns, backing up security's lines.
Also the exit line has the ability to scan guests into the park. We would like the exit line to become a platinum members only entrance. Or just to be a permanent entrance during busy times 9am-11am.
Back to the France parking lot area. The two abandoned customer service buildings need to be reopened for guests that need to speak to park ambassadors with ticket related issues. The 1 closest to stroller rentals to be guest relations and the one next to trams can become the general public security check area.
Another thing the park will need to do is reopened grogans grill and also the show grill and some of the f&w booths to help with food options. This would also help keep lines shorter on busier days during the 50th anniversary. We personally don't care what food options they serve. But as it is today the park's currently only operational food locations an not handle a 30% increase in service demand. Squire's Grille can and is the only restaurant that will survive the insane demand for food. We wouldn't even mind it if outside vendors were to rent out the unused food locations.
Also the park on its busiest of days will need every extended queue line open. This includes the ropes/poles on verbolten going down the bridge, as well as for other rides. And they need to have management prepared for crowd control for all of its rides.
Then there is also the need for additional shows could be extremely beneficial to getting guests off the pathways. A show in castle o'sulvins and pet shenanigans stage. As well as a day time show in the royal palace theater.
Lastly they need more employees! We don't care how they manage this obstacle, rather be through better pay or international employees. But the park will desperately need more employees.

I’m not sure the park is really likely to see a dramatic and sustained increase in crowd size because of the 50th. Regardless, even if an anniversary is a massive draw, there are hard capacity limits on the park.

I personally would really like to see some space in the park used to periodically screen the 40th anniversary documentary 40 Years of fun. I mean I would love to see it updated to the 50th but just reshowing it and possibly having it available to purchase again would be a nice touch.

That would be a great use for Abbey Stone, or if the projectors are still available for use...BfE space.

I'd like to see the old park images come back that they had on the informational signs for the 40th. Although I hope they do something more as well.

Fun fact - there is still one standing near the HR building that has an old LNM photo on it... It says 40th anniversary and all... 9 years after the 40th...

I remember that when I worked there for a spell a few years ago! It was nice to see, since I loved it when they were around the park back for the 40th. Maybe make a batch of new ones (or just slap a "50" over the "40" on the old ones if they still have 'em) and leave them as permanent installations. They were fun to read.

Other than that, I just want the park to feel like less of a husk of its former self. Little things here and there. Bring back the fish and chips at Squire's Grille. Re-repaint the buildings in Germany (I really, really hate the new colors, not sorry). Stuff like that. I'd also personally keep this park afloat in merch sales if they made some Enchanted Laboratory stuff or did that little stage show behind Castle O'Sullivan again. The show ran before my time (sorry to put some grey hairs and wrinkles on some of y'all), but I recently learned about it while doing some digging, and it's the cutest thing.

Dumb thought: what if they could somehow produce a hybrid show between Enchanted Lab and the Castle O'Sullivan auction?
I love this idea!

Questor in motion simulator 1, Corkscrew Hill in 2. Also, rebuild Drachen Fire with BOTH corkscrews, please and thank you. 😌

Small aside, pictures always look so much better than the real thing. We can talk about "old BGW" all we want, but those pictures seem like too good to be true level to me. I don't know if I'm missing something though. Any idea if there's any specific thing going on in each of them? Otherwise it is pretty pristine for marketing purposes.

So, they're going to have a member's appreciation weekend on what has become the remnants of the Irish Celebration. I guess we no longer get the high quality entertainment that came with the Irish Celebration. No more Emerald Ensemble, no more Rockin' Celts. Do we get to keep Dublin Over or Kilarney Village Band?

It looks like the park is holding their appreciation weekend the second weekend of the St. Patrick's Day event. They could easily hold both events at the same time. I do wish they did one more weekend for the St. Patrick's Day event in February though. Mardi Gras gets kinda old when you're doing it for almost 2 months. At least start the March event after Mardi Gras ends or something

I would love for the Enchanted Laboratory to return and be put in the Globe; and the return of This is Oktoberfest with a new rebuilt stage that's appropriate to the theming of Das Festhaus. Food/Theming/Landscaping enchantments are the obvious ones that everybody wants to see, I would love to see more roaming players around the park like the ones we had in 2021.

Oh, and new flat rides to fill in the spots where Mach Tower and Da Vinci's Cradle used to be, that would be great too. Maybe in 2026 perhaps.
