Yeah, I’m pretty sure this is a phobia house too (fear of bugs, storms, spiders, dolls, clowns, tight spaces, broken mirrors, snakes, etc.). Also, the descriptions mentions new horrors at every turn, which hints at fears/phobias. The doors were a confusing touch, but I could see it as the park stating there’s a new fear behind every door or something like that.

The actors in the first room were hilarious! They kept trying to get my group to do funny things like sniff each other 😂. I also loved the mirror/disco ball costume!

I think the mentioned doctor room was actually a morgue because of all of the coffins and dead bodies. Maybe they were going for fear of death?

Hope to see it more complete later on. I agree that the quality doesn’t match past houses, yet. I doubt it’ll reach them at all but hopefully they can inch closer as time passes.

21 appears unfinished to me. (as a long-time patron of HOS, I know the signs). If so, perhaps this house will improve, later in the event.

That said, I have never found any of these types of mazes to be particularly effective. Because there is only a loose theme holding the rooms together, there is no storytelling and the house is unable to inspire an increasing level of dread, as I move forward. Each new section just resets my comfort level, instantly reducing my anxiety and fear.

I agree with most everyone's review on how 21 is a so-so experience: No cohesive theme. And set design is relatively lacking in comparison to KD's other (stellar) indoor mazes. -Though personally the set design aspect does not surprise me, as since this maze is likely envisioned just for this year (the 21st Haunt), I doubt it was ever allocated much of a budget.

However I must admit that by far and away my favorite part of this maze were the various remarks made by our elevator operator...

As we all loaded into the elevator, he cautioned us that if anything were to go wrong, to tell everyone everyone that we went to Six Flags.

And then at one point during the elevator ride as there were sparks flying: "Look! Sparks! See, you're definitely at Six Flags!" 😆

This is like 20x funnier and hella ironic given our current situation. 😂
