I heard that an HD hologram of Esther Williams is what they spent the most out of their budget.

Aside from the set in The Globe, one of the biggest roadblocks is the 30 minute limit. The higher-ups at the park are very vehement that no show is to go over 30 minutes. This probably means that we won't see a revival of Ghosts of the Globe anytime soon, as that show was 50+ minutes.

I think a 27-30 minute "Ghosts of the Globe" can be possible if some cuts can be made, and the original 1975 show from what I've been told was only 35-39 minutes long not 50+.

Could we stick to discussing shows at BGW in this thread?  There is a political thread for comments on that circus.
Sorry about that. I just did the same thing on another thread too, before seeing your comment above. Apologies!

I wonder if the "new spin" to this new Festhaus show will be the same kind of "new spin" that "All For One" was described a lot in it's press releases in 2016. I hope that is the case where both the old and the new combined into an interesting whole.

Can I just say that I'm utterly delighted that I'll be able to walk into the park and not see a bunch of neon flowers bursting from the Globe...

... wait, they *are* taking that crap down, right?

... RIGHT?!

I think that since "Britmania" is marketed as a "New musical revue featuring British hits from the 1960s to the present", it will be slightly different than the "in your face" look and marketing style "London Rocks" had. Maybe this time, "Britmania" is going to be subtle about itself.

So yeah, maybe those ugly neon flowers will finally be taken down and replaced with something more appropriate and suitable to the Globe Theater. Hopefully...

Didn't Celtic Fyre or Irish Thunder have an accordion player in the band? Certainly there have been violinist but I thought there may have been an accordion as well?

in this picture i found on BGW web site this morning, isn't that an accordion the woman on the left is holding. Also both of the "american friend" tap dancers in the picture are men. Wasn't that 2 seasons ago?

I think this is the first time that violins are in any of the Germany shows. But the accordion has been in them before as Thomas said.

There are so many beautiful types of German music that I would love to hear them play, although I know they probably never will due to many factors. We shall see.

Who knows, this show might have a lot of potential to be really good by giving us different types of German music. But you're right, we'll wait and see what Pete Dunklee and Phil Raybourn will do with this.
