I'm actually quite surprised that they made "Britmania" so quickly. I wonder if the new show will recycle the production/costume designs of LR while doing it's own thing for the show itself.

I remember commenting that "London Rocks" would've worked if they removed the story aspect of it and then this happened. Talk about a big coincidence. :p

From what I have been able to gather, it seems like the park was looking (in the middle of the 2016 season) to create a show for The Globe Theatre that is either story or music driven, not both. It will probably be a little bit thrown together, because they were faced with the prospect of either creating a new show or having no show at all, which I'm glad wasn't an option for them.

Now remember; Scrooge No More was also partly last minute. It was in the books for years, but it was shelved for a long time in favor of a rock style show that never happened. So just because it may have been last minute doesn't mean that it will be terrible although it will probably use the backbone of London Rocks.

Edit: Imagine- London Rocks 4.0, but with a new name, and a slightly different focus.

I'm really looking forward to the new shows and the 2017 season. However, there are a few songs form LR and ROTB that I'll miss (Mostly from LR). Btw Does anybody know if "Mix It Up" will still be going strong again this year?

Here's what I think will be the show line-up for 2017:

New:
Britmania
Unnamed Festhaus show

Returning:
Mix It Up!
All For One
Celtic Fyre (Rumored to be last season)
Sunny Days Celebration
Secret Life of Predators
More Pet Shenanigans

The unnamed Festhaus show is the one I'm curious about the most. When they mean by "Traditional German music and dances with a modern twist", do they mean that they'll look at what the Oktoberfest festivals in Germany does today and recreate that, or will they do what's essentially a redone/updated version of "This is Oktoberfest"? Or better yet, am I overthinking this?

I ought to ask my cousins in Germany what they think it means. I am not keeping up with German culture much, but they can be quite wild in the realm of theatre/dance (very contemporary).

Sadly, I can't say I'm a fan of contemporary German (nor that I completely dislike it. I am sure the park would have a hard time pulling that off. They also have to factor in that most people just won't understand it.

I really hope the park doesn't have more trouble with understanding and pleasing their clientele. It seems like most recent productions are dumbed down and sometimes even overly-cultured (which soon becomes dumbed down during last-minute tweaks).

In a way I want to see a new set for the new German show, but Dana Kenn is too high profile of a set designer. They will probably be reluctant to destroy the set. Then again, they need something new now that they don't have an iconic stage.

If they do strike the set and replace it with something else, here's to hoping that the new set is thematically appropriate to Das Festhaus. If not, oh well.

As of 2/3/17, "London Rocks" and "Roll Out The Barrel" have been officially removed from Busch Gardens Williamsburg's official website. Which not only means that "Britmania" will be on there but we will get the new Festhaus show's official name very soon.

Like the President or not, this is a fact that cannot be ignored:

That's funny, I thought he said that it was 50 years of the Bush administration that did that.

But yeah it's about time "London Rocks" was gone, it was a complete disgrace to the park during it's last season.

If there's anything I could tell you all is that I heard from a friend of mine who works at the park gave me a hint that the new Festhaus show might be like what "This is Oktoberfest!" did but doing something slightly new with it. But take that with a grain salt.
