reminds me of the jukebox show at the Canadian palladium...
I guess it is kind of reminiscent of that actually. Although, this one looks a lot better, especially in person.

In no way am I a super enthusiast like I see here (no disrespect meant). I have been going to the park for some time and have been seeing a decline in the quality of shows (this place has explained why). At this point, I am absolutely terrified that this show will be another cheap, out of place, top pop pander fest like Kommotion. At the very least tell me you guys will make another parody video for this show.

Hi sheilJ... no worries. I think you are the same line of thinking as most of the folks here.

Welcome to the forum!

Just like you, I hope the show "London Rocks" or whatever becomes of this- is going to be held with class and respect for the Hamlet and British music.

Hope. Until the opening day... I guess that is all we can do. However, if there is a single "One Direction" song- I will riot.

So I was talking to Alpenghost and Luke yesterday and the following question came up:

"Is anyone excited about London Rocks?"

We all agreed we weren't. Is anyone out there actually looking forward to seeing it or have you all, like me, just been disappointed far too many times now to hold out any hope for it?

I'm not usually a patron of any of the shows, but I have to admit that if they pick the right songs, it sounds pretty cool. That is, of course, a big "if," but I love 60s, 70s, and 80s era Brit Pop. If it goes all Glee, then no, totally not interested. I prefer my cheese with a nice Malbec.

I have no faith in the park to put on a good regular season show anymore. Let's face it, were getting One Direction and Black Eyed Peas because "Fergie" sounds British.

Isn't she, like, a princess or something?

I thought that was the female in the group. To be honest I don't know much about the group, only that my life goal is to punch every member in the group for that one song.

Honestly, I don't really know. Unless it is gonna be a smaller version of this:

That being said, I am excited to see what becomes of Monster Stomp in the Globe next season, assuming that is still the case.

^THIS. Wow. =P

I see them playing British band music: Rolling Stones, Adele, One Direction, The Beatles (as if we didn't already have too much of them there), and others of the sort. If SG went "through the ages", so to speak, with Night Beats and kept it "new" and "hip" with KK, then really, what do you expect? Nothing good! =/

I don't actually write like that...
Look, I don't even know who you are.

...but I have heard people confuse them before so I thought I'd throw that out there - didn't mean to question your intelligence.

No stress.

I have mixed feelings about this show. If it is the classic Beatles, Stones, who stuff, then I am uber excited. However, if it at all has ANY top twenty British songs (Adelle, 1D, Spice Girls) then I am not at all excited. I think this could be a good show, if they pull it off right. :)
