I think a new thread needs to be made for the Hamlet itself. I'll let Zachary do that, I am feeling lazy. But apparently after a little light reading today. Banbury cross was not a place. I always though it was a "cross roads" but Banbury Cross refers to a physical crucifix in the town of Banbury. Also Busch Gardens clock tower looks nothing like the Palace of Westminster.

No one really calls it Banbury Cross besides us, everyone else just uses country names. It is pretty much dumbed down for the XBox, texting, Netflix, Facebook generation! People want familiar nowadays, and most people are unaware of the existence of Banbury Cross. They only know about Oktoberfest because of beer!

Hmm. Could it be worse than what Tampa has? Can't be worse than American Jukebox.

I may in the minority but I liked American Jukebox and miss it. Some years the talent of the performers wasn't that great compared to other years but I still enjoyed that show. If "London Rocks!" is anything like it I'll be happy.

I concur. With budget cuts and a possible sale Busch will be on a spending freeze. London Rocks will not debut in 2014 because a spending freeze will totally take away the massive budget needed to start a new musical. Monster Stomp in fall 2014 is still possible because the cost to re-run an old musical is not as big as a brand new show.

Honestly, they might as well rename Banbury Cross already to London. The Globe and Big Ben are already there. Just saying, I wouldn't mind a renamed hamlet, just hope they don't overdo the London thing is all.

Get off your high horse, it was dumbed down for Americans in general.

Not on a high horse at all. I just didn't want to make that broad of a generalization because I know how sensitive people are and/or quick to judge...Especially since I am an American, and don't need things dumbed down for me, and I know many other Americans who do not. Not all Americans are dumb, fat and lazy, some of us are just fat!

Not saying Americans are stupid. I'm an American and I realize that most schools don't teach about small European villages in their curriculum so therefore they aren't very well known about in the US. Members of the forums know about them yes, but they likely learned about it from the park. Anyway, your generalization that it's dumbed down for the new generation that uses the internet and social networking is pretty hypocritical when you consider that you are using a social networking site to say that. There's always been a suggestion from people in their 30s 40s and 50s that the new generation is stupid and unruly. Generalizations like that have been made about teens and young adults since the early 1900s, it's nothing new but when you say it on a social networking site you run the risk of offending people from that age group.

You guys are so silly. That has been going on since there were parents who had kids. Pretty sure Kane's mommy & daddy thought he was pretty stupid for killing his brother when there were like four people on the entire Earth. :p

But enough of silly stories. London is gonna ROCK and you can't stop it!!
(No matter what the hamlet is called)

Honestly, the issue can be resolved easily if welcome signs were added to the entry points of each country, much like how Festa used to have a sign, Sesame does have a sign, Scotland and Ireland have signs, France has a sign-ish, New France used to have a sign, Rhinefeld has a sign, Oktoberfest used to/has a sign. Point is the park has catered to tourists using the country names so much that they care less about making the hamlet names more well known.

When you think about it though, tourists and the GP will always used country names. I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel a little awkward and weird asking where is Rhinefeld or Kilarney or Heatherdowns. Especially when it is so much easier to say where is Germany, Ireland, or Scotland. People go with what the are familiar with. The park obviously shows they don't care about people using the correct hamlet names.

But back to London ROCKS! Honestly, this name is so bad it is almost if not more so on the level of Girls ShamROCK! in Ireland, I mean Killarney ;)

No offense meant to anyone. If you guys haven't picked up on it, I am a very sarcastic person. If someone gets offended by anything, I always have the same answer...Don't read/watch/listen to it! I do troll often as well, so if it is something that is truly bothering me, I let it be known or I PM the person. Some people just get to riled up sometimes.

I don't care about the name of the show. Entwined is a great name, if only the characters were actually from the stories, not just in name. To me, London Rocks! sounds like a British invasion style show. Bring on 60's and 70's Brit rock, I love it! Hell, throw in some Sabbath while you're at it!

STONE HIM!!

Just kidding.

I didn't know for the longest either.

Assuming this refers to me...I am a hyper-preppy girly-girl. I'm the one on the patchwork madras shorts and hot pink t-shirt. Not that you would have any way of knowing that from my androgynous nickname.
