The main part of Nessie not relying on the inside effects is because it's outside effects make up for it. You clearly have a visual of Nessie's cave before diving into it, whereas with Verbolten, the building is exposed before you hit the "tunnel" so the inside effects have to make up for that loss of realism.

With that being said, I agree with PR saying that Vbolt's effects will be around for a lot longer than Nessie's.

I think one thing that they should get to is putting up building theming around the entire building. Like with Darkastle, you have a fantastic front entrance that is theme perfect, then once it gets behind the basketball game, all that cool theming goes away. They should extend the themeing until it is not visible at all. I'm looking at you Verbolten building.

I was hoping Darkastle would be something along the lines of Haunted Mansion at Disneyland. That building you see is nothing more than a staging area for the queue & the area that houses the "actual" ride is in a non-descript building outside the area that the GP can access. With the kind of vegetation around all the hamlets, a dark ride (or two) is not out of the realm of possibility, IF they can keep the majority of the ride out of view of the public.

Still not sold yet on Verbolten. Sure the drop track scares the first time rider, but after that...meh. Griffon is scarier than VB, for sure.

Griffon SHOULD be scarier than Verbolten. Verbolten has always been billed as a family attraction and Griffon as a high-stakes thrill ride. I actually love Verbolten. It's an incredibly unique ride that I could ride over and over again. It's a fantastic addition to the park.

I love the ride, I'm just not sure it's built to last. It's going to cost some serious money to keep it looking good and if BGW skimps out on the money, the ride will be ruined.
